Northern Auld Field, Zao Thesis
Suzy and Faro then left the Auden Village and they are now in the Field of the Northern Auld, an area of the Zao Thesis that is connected to the Auden Village.
This is the Northern Auld Field?
Suzy asked while looking at the map of the Continent.
It is, I’ve never been here in years, the last time I’m here I’m combatting monsters that popped out of the field, luckily I was visiting my parents that day so that I can help defend, for a Continent that consists of Warriors, monsters aren’t a big issue, but if they attack, Warriors aren’t fully trained to fight them because we’ve been trained to fight other Warriors.
Faro answered as he explained about the area.
I know how to fight them but I just don’t have enough experience fighting them, I have a few, but even I know it’s not enough.
Suzy said, she then put away the map in her inventory.
I remember one time in the Zion Village, many Stoned Spirits attacked, but they didn’t know that my Village have a lot of Hammer users because we have a lot of weapon masters, most of them, probably all of them have Hammers as their main weapons considering they’ve been using hammers making weapons for many generations now, and it would just make sense for them too.
Suzy’s thorough thoughts then continue.
Me too, I hate the time when I fought sea monsters, that was such an annoying time.
Faro told her.
They then continued their journey in the Northern Auld Field, and after several hours, they saw the Mountains of Zhao.
Zhao Mountains, Zao Thesis
Suzy and Faro went to the bottom of the Mountain after they saw the Mountains to begin climbing, but Suzy is reading a book about the Zhao Mountains, she read it because she has one.
The Zhao Mountains comprises of many Indigenous Clans that would rather stay away from society as much as possible because of their grudge against the Seven Villages, they wouldn’t even dare to evolve into a Village, let alone a Tribe, I wonder how strong their warriors are since I assume they would not have the strongest, the Village’s ways are far stronger than the Tribe’s ways, and the Country’s ways are stronger than the Village’s ways, but a Tribe’s ways still have things that a Village’s ways don’t have, and a Village’s ways have things that a Country’s ways don’t have.
Suzy explained after reading the book of Zhao Mountains as they approach the Mountains.
That’s good to hear, but do you have experience in climbing mountains? I assume you do since you’ve trained in the Angus Tribe and you were born in the Zion Village, right?
Faro said, asking her if she knows how to climb.
I do, but I will have to remember them along the way, I know the basics, like not to fall and lose your grip, but overall, I’m not someone who will fall mountains like these.
Suzy said.
They took out their equipment for mountain climbing and then began climbing the mountains; luckily for them, they aren’t actually climbing a horizontal side of the mountain, it is a slight slope.
But not even a quarter in their climbing and they’re greeted by the indigenous warriors living in the mountains.
Okay, I’m not good at fighting on inclined things so you’re going to have to bear with me on this one!
Suzy shouted.
Suzy first took out her sword on her right arm and have her left arm grabbing onto their climbing tool, she readied herself to fight the incoming enemies.
Aren’t you supposed to be using your powers?!
Faro asked her; surprised that Suzy can’t do multiple things at once.
I can’t do climbing, fighting, and use my powers at the same time, I’ve never done this; I wasn’t born in a mountain, Faro!
Suzy shouted, answering Faro’s question and his surprise.
Faro then took out his spear to fight the incoming enemies.
AARRHGH!!!!
The Indigenous warriors shouted as they all drop down to fight Suzy and Faro; ready with their weapons they engaged the two of them.
Though Suzy and Faro are not having a hard time because they’ve fought like this before in their training, not moving and fighting with one arm and their other arm is tied up, they still had issues fighting them because the Indigenous warriors have different ways to fight.
But when they killed the first group of Indigenous warriors, another one jumped at them.
Suzy! You’re better off using your powers than fight them with your sword, I’ll cover you!
Faro said, he then took out his sword and jumped over a sturdy platform to fight them, away from Suzy.
Be careful!
Suzy shouted.
Just hurry!
Faro responded.
I’ll make this quick!
Suzy thought.
She then began activating her powers, even though the process to activate her powers is fast, she still needs to minimize it almost instantaneously because Faro will be fighting 6 Indigenous warriors.
Suzy decided to channel her powers on only one weapon, her sword, and controlled it, and because she only controlled one weapon, the speed, precision, and pulsation of the sword are off the charts, she then killed the 6 indigenous warriors, they were about to injure Faro severely, even though it’s only been a few seconds, but luckily, Suzy made it in time.
Are you alright?
Suzy asked.
That’s faster than I thought, I thought I’ll be waiting and fighting longer, so you can channel your Mana in one weapon and make that weapon stronger and faster.
Faro said; he was impressed by how fast Suzy acted.
I can, but I don’t think this is more durable than its normal durability, sometimes more Mana, doesn’t mean more defense as well, Mages are fragile so that’s something to account for, there are reasons why they also practice defense magic and spells.
Suzy told him as she return to her mountain climbing equipment and tools.
They then continue their climbing until they arrived at the top of the mountain, though Suzy showed more of her unskilled self in mountain climbing, Faro didn’t mind it because he found it cute.
Shut up…
Suzy told him.
I didn’t even say anything; in all honesty, I find it cute that someone of your stature and ability is not as skilled in something as climbing.
Faro said, clarifying to Suzy while their climbing.
I said shut up…
Suzy told him.
We arrived here earlier than I thought, is that the Angus Tribe?
Faro said, asking Suzy.
Yep, and it seemed that they’ve never changed, a Tribe is a Tribe all along, let’s go, Faro.
Suzy answered his question as she told him to continue moving.
Wait, Suzy, it’s almost nighttime, and the sun is setting, can we camp out here overnight?
Faro said, asking her.
Right, we can camp out here, how did I not notice that?
Suzy answered, she then asked herself that.
They then took out their camping things and set them all on the mountain, after they were done, they watched the sunset on the horizon.
This is quite comforting, if not for this cold air.
Faro said.
Let’s not complain too much about the little things, we enjoyed it so let’s just go and rest, now that I mentioned that, I noticed all of my exhaustion coming in, if you want warmth then head in the tent early, I know I’m heading in early now.
Suzy said, standing up from her chair after the sunset ends.
She then headed inside the tent to rest up.
Are you more tired than before?
Faro asked.
Yes! And I can’t even believe it.
Suzy shouted, answering his question.
After Suzy entered the bed and huddled in her bed bag, Faro enjoyed his alone time in the chair outside the Mountains.
I thought I’ll never get as far as this with Suzy, I remember the time when I was just calling her Madam Suzy and even Commander Suzy, I guess once I make a move, everything will go well, not smoothly though since I did everything to even make a move on her, and it took a long time since I have to also wait for her to assist us in the Gallant Battle, but it turned out alright so I’m not complaining.
Faro thought thoroughly as he drinks the hot coffee that he made, but unfortunately, because the air is cold, Suzy finished her coffee earlier since it got colder earlier than anticipated.
After an hour has passed, Faro then entered the Tent, where Suzy is, but when he entered, he felt the heat inside the Tent due to Suzy.
Are you sick? The tent is so hot.
Faro asked her.
That’s just my body temperature acting up due to my rotting, you get in and share this heat with me, I think I’ll explode.
Suzy said, answering Faro’s question.
You sure? Do you want me to open a bit of the tent up so that a few cold breaths of air enter the tent?
Faro asked her afterward.
I’m sure, open up the top of the tent at least, and snuggle in with me so that when it gets a little cold, I can share some heat with you so that you don’t need to close the tent.
Suzy answered his question afterward.
And so, they spent the night above the Zhao Mountains, and after the sun rises, they packed up their camping things and went down the Zhao Mountains.
Angoon Plateau, Zao Thesis
The Angoon Plateau, I didn’t even know this is connected to the Angus Tribe, I just heard about the Angus Tribe.
Faro said after they arrived at the Plateau.
The Angoon Plateau is where the Tribe is training their warriors in actual real combat because they’re focused on training them against not just other warriors, but also monsters.
Suzy told him as they approach the Tribe.
You’ve fought a monster when you’re in training?
Faro asked.
Yes, that’s actually the first time I’ve fought a monster which is the scariest thing ever, well, at least the first time, right now, I can kill about a hundred or so.
Suzy answered his question.
My last experience against monsters was my 3rd time so you could say that I’ve never fought monsters regularly, but I’ve heard outside the Continent, they’re fighting monsters regularly, hence why they may not be as experienced as us compared to fighting other warriors, but they’re far skilled at fighting monsters.
Faro thought afterward.
They then arrived at the Angus Tribe.
Angus Tribe, Zao Thesis
The Angus Tribe has been one of the many Tribes that has been living as a fishing culture for many generations, at least those that are near the Ocean, it is one of the reasons why they are known to teach and nurture Spearmen and women, and because they’ve never used any fishing rods or anything, they’ve been one of the greatest Tribes to nurture talented Spearmen, but there is a problem when it comes to language because they an old language.
So this is the Angus Tribe.
Faro said.
Stick close to me at all times, the worst-case scenario that can happen to you here makes you a slave, they abuse those systems every time and they’re not afraid to do so because this is a Tribe.
Suzy told Faro after they entered the Angus Tribe.
Why is that a worst-case scenario? What is a worse thing that can happen to me here when we separate? I think you should tell me that first.
Faro asked Suzy.
When you left me and wandered around on your own, first, you and this Tribe won’t understand each other due to language, second, they will imprison you due to having a different language, and third, you don’t have the same appearance as them, thus, leading you to the worst-case scenario, s*****y.
Suzy replied, answering Faro’s questions.
Okay…
Faro responded, agreeing to her words after she told him.
Sino itong dalawa?
Bakit sila iba sa mga tao dito?
Sino sila, Ina?
Sila ay tagalabas, anak, kaya pumasok ka sa bahay para hindi ka kunin nila.
The Angus Natives are all confused as to why someone like Suzy and Faro has entered the Village.
They have a far different language that even I can’t understand; I know I will understand other languages a little bit because most of them came from English.
Faro said.
That’s just a myth, of course, they’re the living proof of that, hold my hand so that you don’t get lost, I know that I sound like a mother, but trust me.
Suzy told him as she asked for his hand.
There is a reason why the Elders have held my hands tight after they took me here, and they said the exact same thing that I said to Faro, that’s not something I can’t afford, even though Faro’s an adult now.
Suzy thought.
Faro went and holds Suzy’s hand after she asked for it.
Suzy! Antagal na kitang di nakita!
Someone Suzy knows greeted her.
What did he say? Do you know him?
Faro asked Suzy.
He said “It’s been a while since he saw me.” He’s an old acquaintance here, let me talk to him and see if I can still remember how to talk like them; Antagal nga, lumaki ka na ng di ko namalayan, mayabang ka pa din, ha?
Suzy answered Faro’s questions; she then talked to the Angus Native that talked to her.
