Alpha’s Betrayal

Astra's POV With urgency while trying not to break the intoxicating silence that cascade the dimly lit yet shrouded with an romantic aura of the room, I gently turned over my drawer, searching frantically for the one thing that was guaranteed not to just save my life but my future and marriage. 'Yes!' I exclaimed joyfully as I found the pill I was searching for. A soft moan made me almost jump up in front as my attention instantly turned towards the man that laid few meters away from me. I watched cautiously, holding my breath as he turned to the other side, mutter few words and didn't say a thing. I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding and unfroze myself. No, I wasn't scared he would wake up because he obviously isn't a lying volcano waiting for a tiny irritation just to erupt, I didn't want to wake him up after the passionate and rough night we both had just had, he did most of the work ensuring that he pitched me to pleasure's cliff several times before the day broke, he was my husband and he cares about my desires as well. I sighed and opened the bottle only to realize that it wasn't what I was searching for, it was multivitamins instead. 'f**k!' I cussed, unsensored and the movement I heard next made me clamp my mouth shut with my hands. I froze, waiting for any more signs of movements but when none came, I continued my search, this time faster than before since time wasn't per se ok my side. "What are you doing?" I flinched, startled as I hear his voice, I had successfully woken him up. "Nothing." I lied, my voice betraying me. He yawned. "What are you doing Astra? You don't wake up cussing at nothing now do you?" He asked once more. I groaned inwardly and turned to face him. "I was just looking for my multivitamins, I'm sorry if I was too loud and woke you up." I apologized covering for my clumsiness. He's eyes narrowed as if he didn't believe me but shrugged the next moment as he stood from the bed. "Good morning Astra." He greeted, sleepily. I blushed. "Good morning Arlo." I greeted in response. He titled his heads sideways and stretched a bit before waltzing past me into the bathroom, like a bolt of lightning, I rummaged through the drawer once more and rejoiced as I found the contraceptives I was searching for. 'Bastard!' I cussed lightly before popping the right dose into my mouth and downing it with a glass of water. I waited a moment for it to find its way down my throat to it's rightful site of action. I heard the toilet flush and Arlo walked back into the room looking more alert and handsome, he lovingly kissed me briefly on the lips. "I know it isn't easy for you taking these pills but I do not want you to be disfigured by the adverse effect of pregnancy neither do I want to be ladened with the responsibilities of being a father yet, thank you for doing this for the both of us, I love you, always remember that." He reminded me and my eyes swelled with tears of appreciation. "I do it for us Arlo, remember that as well." I replied, emotionally. He nodded his head. "I have to get ready, the pack needs their alpha." He remarked. I chuckled. "Of course." I prepared his bath and laid down his outfit for him before he came.out of the bathroom. I was married to Arlo Wenkins; alpha of the Rabid wolf pack and the most loving man in the world. He finished dressing up and gave me a peck before leaving to attend to his alpha duties. I was elated since the day was a huge one, it was our anniversary. Our marriage was going to be a two years and half today and I had been secretly making preparations to make it a memorable one for him so I got to work. Half an hour later, I was done with my personal chores and had breakfast as well. Being the Luna wasn't the easiest of job but everyone respected and loved me because of Arlo as well so they worked perfectly well with me as I directed the decorations and began to put the necessary preparations in place for the anniversary dinner that was to happen tonight, I intended to use the pack's dining hall since it would host our guests. As I gave directions to one of the chefs on Arlo's favorite meal, a maid walked up to me claiming a woman wanted to see him, I permitted her to bring the mysterious woman to me while I busy myself with the preparations. "Luna Astra." I heard a feminine voice call out. I dismissed the guard I was speaking with and turned to see Fiona walk up to me, I greeted her with a warm smile and laughed that she required permission to see me. "Why would you need permission to see me Fiona? You're the beta, you literally own the pack." I remarked, jokingly. "Luna, I have something important to say to you." She replied, monotonously. "It can wait, come help me with these decorations, Arlo will be home soon." I urged. "This is my son." She announced. I nodded subtly and looked down to see her hold a handsome little boy who looked oddly familiar but I paid no attention to it, it seems she was troubled as her eyes roamed about the entire place. "I didn't know you have a son Fiona, why didn't you tell me?" I asked, angry. Her lips shook and her eyes betrayed her emotions. "This shouldn't be revealed to you and I'm not in a position to do so but I've chose for the sake of the welfare of my son to speak to you today about this." She began. "Okay." I drawled. "He's the alpha's son." She announced, sharply. I kept mute for a moment and then burst into a peak of laughter and expected her join in since it was a joke, a horrible one at that but the laughter died down as she was mute it was then I realized she wasn't lying and I looked at the little boy, the odd familiarity suddenly making sense, my hands flew my mouth, covering it instinctively. "Oh my god, he is my husband's son!" I exclaimed.
