Secrecy
Lena's POV
‘Never trust the man with the crescent scar.’
"Who are you warning me about, Soren?" I said quietly to the empty room.
The room did not answer.
By the time the sky outside the window began to lighten from black to grey I had worked through the journal four complete times.
The questions that had no answers yet were arranged in my mind in order of what they would unlock if solved.
First the torn pages whatever was removed had been important enough to take the risk of handling the journal.
Someone had found it before me or someone had hidden it themselves and removed the most dangerous sections before doing so.
