The Enemy's House
Lena's POV
"Welcome to Blue Moon Pack," Someone said from the crowd.
Then the first egg hit my shoulder.
I did not flinch, the shell cracked against my jacket and the cold wet ran down my arm and I kept my eyes forward and my face completely still.
The second one caught my hair, the third hit the ground just in front of my horse and splattered mud across my boots.
The crowd had not been silent after all they had simply been waiting.
Laughter broke out from somewhere to my left. A voice shouted something I did not catch. More eggs someone threw a handful of mud and it caught the side of my face and I felt it slide down my jaw and I did not raise my hand to wipe it away.
I would not give them that.
