Battling with oneself is a war
That rages deep inside our core
A struggle fought without a sword
Yet leaves us weary, tired, and sore
The enemy we face is us
A foe that knows our every thought
It knows our weaknesses and fears
And leaves us feeling overwrought
It whispers doubts inside our ear
And tells us we're not good enough
It amplifies our inner strife
And makes our journey seem so tough
But we must stand and face this fight
With courage, strength, and grit in hand
For only when we conquer self
Can we truly make a stand
We must believe in our own worth
And trust that we are strong enough
To overcome the doubts and fears
And emerge victorious, tough
So let us face ourselves with grace
And battle on until we win
For in this war we are our own
And only we can let ourselves in.
It's an ongoing battle,
A war without an end,
A fight to find inner peace,
And to make my heart ascend.
But even though the war continues,
And the battle rages on,
Now I know that I am stronger,
And that I will emerge, unscathed and won
