This tale started 2000 years after Alpha Queen Kay left the realm in fear of Alpha Queen Cathy.

Everyone thought the bloodline that had resistance against Alpha Queen Cathy was killed by her. Little did Cathy know that they hid from her as humans.

Now Eva Annabelle Rose is living a strange life after she allowed herself to have a roommate for the first time. Her picky nature for having someone live with her changed her life completely.

1 - The Interview
I flop down on my couch and look up at the ceiling as I blow the smoke from my vape out. I had so many interviews today for a roommate. And none of them seems like a great fit for me. Even the ones that are focused on their studies. They seem too normal for me. They probably are not normal. I don’t like normal or pretenders. Some of them even smelled like werewolves, which I don’t mind housing either. Oh man, this is giving me a headache. I have one more left to interview. Her parents will be joining our interview too. So, she is likely to be a first-year student. That can be cute, in a way. Seeing the fear in her eyes. Hehe, I am so evil sometimes. I will probably go to hell for this. A knock on my door pulls me out of my evil thoughts about how I can see the girl scared. That must be them. They are werewolves too. Okay, maybe my evilness won't work. So much for that idea. I get up and walk to the door. Okay, time to be nice. I open the door and there they stand. Oh, four people? Two adults, the student, and a little kid. Her kid brother? Okay. “Hello,” I greet them in a friendly manner and they smile at me. The dad has plain straight brown hair just hanging on his head with light brown eyes. The mom has ash blond hair and blue eyes just like the student's daughter and naturally, the years can be seen on her face. The boy has the same hair and colour as the dad but with blue eyes. “You must be the Lous! I am Eva,” I open my door wider for them. “I am Nathan,” the dad shakes my hand. “Hello, welcome. take a seat,” I open my arm to the living/lounge area of the house. “I am Ann,” the mother shakes my hand next. Oh, she is half-human and a werewolf. Interesting. “And this little guy is Cayden,” she introduces me to the kid. Mm… there is a bit of a human in him. This is getting more and more interesting. “And I am Ricka,” the one who is here for the room steps in next. I shake her hand. She is a werewolf but her scent is not that strong. She didn’t shift yet. Oh, wow. This will surely be interesting. I close the door behind them before I walk to the seat closest to me. That is open of course. “Wow, this house looks great,” Nathan comments, and I just smile. Typical dad. “Thanks, my grandparents left it for me,” it is a lie. It is a lie. I bought it with my own money since I am a shareholder in a big company. Not that I ever went to work there since we can not travel through realms without good reason. A Stranger gave me a unique bracelet one day and told me that the money in there is mine to do as I please. And it just keeps on getting more and more. It still feels unreal but here is the house bought with the money. So, it should be real, right? I am still processing this. “Oh, you don’t have parents? Humans don’t usually leave their children on their own, do they?” Ann asked, concern written on her face. She should know. She is half-human. “Uhm, well, you see. They died. Something to do with a rogue attack on a pack they apparently moved through on their way to their vacation spot years ago,” another lie. I don’t have any family that I know of. I have been an orphan since I can remember. I just had a note with me saying that I should keep my scent on the scent of being a human and that I am not human. I am a shifter of sorts. And that is what I have been doing since. I can shift into a dragon/werewolf form. “Oh, you know about the supernatural world?” Nathan seems sceptical while asking. “Not much. Just that we are not the only species in the world. And for that reason am I allowed to carry on with my life,” I smiled at him. He bought it. Great. “Oh, part of the lucky few,” Ann added and I smiled. “Can I get you something to drink? Coffee, tea, soda, or water?” I asked as I got up to go to the kitchen. “Coffee!” Cayden cheers and I laugh at him. “Are you allowed to drink coffee? I know werewolf pups can not drink it just yet,” I asked and he loses his confidence just as quickly. “Werewolf?” Nathan is getting defensive again. “Yeah, this university is full of werewolves. And since you asked me if I know about them, I assume you are werewolves,” I explained quickly. I almost forgot that I am posing as a human. “Oh, right. Forgot that I asked you about that,” he scratched the back of his neck. “Soda for me please,” Ricka answered me and the rest nodded. Great, less work for me. I bring over the soda in glass bottles. They are 500ml and perfect for people not wanting to do much work by pouring a big bottle into glasses. Yeah, I am a little lazy, bite me. “Okay, let me begin,” I take out my laptop from the coffee table. I open it and see my list ready for her. Okay. The name is Ricka Lou. Age?” I look up at her. “19,” she is a bit shy. Not used to answering things yet. “Okay, werewolf?” I look at her again. She looks at her parents before looking down again. “No, human,” she sounds a bit ashamed of it. So, what I was thinking before is true. She did not shift yet. “Okay, so you're technically half-human and half-wolf?” I asked just to stay ‘dumb’ in their eyes. Which will probably change over time if I pick her as my roomie. She nods shyly while looking down. “Okay, moving on. What will your major be?” “Doctor. So, Medical,” Ooh, a very serious major. No parties for us. I am fine with that. “How is your social life? Do you have many friends besides your pack,” “I only have my family. The pack sees me as a disgrace,” Poor girl. That can not be easy for her. Strange that she did not shift yet since she was probably born into this pack. Or they have not accepted her mother completely. “Rank in the pack?” “Omega,” That explains a lot. Not that omega is a bad rank if you look at the normal wolves in the wild. “Any chronic illnesses?” “None,” “Allergic to anything?” “Chocolate,” “What? Like a dog?” The room is silent as I can not believe my ears. This is the first time I heard this. “Yes, I won’t die. But my throat does get scratchy if I eat any,” Ricka is bright red as she told me this. “Oh wow. Sorry if I insulted you with the dog thing,” I apologise and she shakes her head. “No worries. I get that a lot,” she frigid with her thumbs. “Okay, my next question. Are you a neat person, because I am not that neat even though this place does look neat. My room is a different story.” “Uhm, yes. I like things to be in place. And what goes on in your room, is your business. As long as we can keep the shared living spaces neat and clean,” “Good, are you okay to follow a few rules that I have set?” “Yes, I can follow rules,” “Oh, yeah. Omega. Sorry, I forgot. Okay my last question,” I scroll to the next page. “What pack are you from? And will they give me trouble for housing you?” “Uhm, no. They are supporting this move. It is a small pack just beyond the forest to the north. Little Wood Pack,” Ricka sounds a little relieved for leaving the pack. That is nice of them. So, they want her gone? I can work with this. “I think I made my choice for a roommate,” I closed my laptop before looking up at her again. I can hear them holding their breath. “I chose you. You sound perfect to fit here with me,” I smiled at her and I liked the way her pretty face lit up. Her mom and dad are also happy about this. “You can start moving at any time,” I take the extra keys from the bud pocket of my jeans. I stand up a little as I hold it for her to take. She is a bit shocked. Which is normal. “Thank you,” she takes the key. “My rules are as follows,” I draw their attention again. “The door will be locked after 7 at night and in the morning at all times if you leave for class. Windows will stay open the whole time, I vape,” I showed my device and she nodded. “I don’t like other people very much, so just give me a heads up when you do have friends over. I will not allow disrespect, bullying, and name-calling in this house. If any of your friends do this, I will kick the friend out and you are not allowed to bring them here again,” I am very strict with this rule. I don’t tolerate it. “And with time we may become friends or not. We will both go shopping for food at the same time since I have a car. If you need to go to another city like the one with the big shopping mall, just let me know and we can see which day will be best,” I added and she nodded. They seem very relieved. “Thank You so much. we will probably move in tomorrow,” Nathan shakes my hand again. I nodded and walked them to the door. “Oh, I almost forgot. Any questions?” I stop at the door and turn to them. “Oh, yes. You rule about boys?” Nathan asked and I can not hide my smile about it. “Same rule as the friends. And I will also kick him out if he tries to force his way with Ricka,” I stare at the dad with dead serious eyes. He nodded in a bit of fear. “Good, that would be great. Even her soulmate? The males can become very aggressive with the females,” he added and I nod. “If she does not want to bond immediately, I will do everything in my power to stop him,” I support any female who wants to take things slowly. And I respect them greatly for that. “Thank You, again,” Ann thanked me again before they left. I waved at them as they drove away. Ricka is a shy girl. So cute.
