Nora POV

I was so happy that Mason would finally be out and clean.We can finally move foreword with our relationship, leaving every ugly incidence behind.We had a family dinner with Mason's parents and as expected Nathan was absent.His parent proposed we get engaged and I was super excited but I asked for sometime so Mason and I can make our relationship stronger.

Mason is finally out and everything has been smooth for a while now.He is no longer rough when we have s*x which is no longer often and he listens more although I noticed he doesn't talk much. finally the result for the paternity test Nathan requested for was out and to say I was scared of what it would say was a big understatement.All of us was around to hear what the result states even Mason who has never been in any of our family dinners. Nathan wasn't happy to see him here but if that classless Natalie could be here then why not Mason.I simply ignored him while I look at that girl besides him with disgust cause she was the cause of all these.

We were all relieved to hear that Nathan was 99.9% a Johnson and a son of the family,he alone did not look too happy about."Finally you can stop all this madness and apologize to your mum"my dad told Nathan and he replied "I would only do that when she apologize to my girlfriend, and just because that result says you are my sperm donor doesn't mean I have any respect left to give you" Nathan replied.Mason quickly excused himself walking away,I followed him but he told me to stay back cause he has somewhere to be so he left.

Things with Mason kept going smoothly until the pictures of him meeting with Nancy went viral.I just had to confront him cause this is getting too much for me to bear."Mason how could you do this I thought you cut all contact with her after the incident at the rehab"I said fuming "what incidence,us having a threesome,I never forced you into that so stop acting all innocent besides I only met with her to talk" he replied "You do realize she is engaged and about to wed in two weeks time right" I said "At least she is not yet married so i'm not doing anything wrong besides we just met to talk" he replied nonchalantly "what could you guys be talking about when she is engaged and you have a girlfriend, stay away from her Mason,she is bad news and I really don't like her being around you" I said hoping he would understand but he scoffed and said "like you're very quick to reminded me she is engaged so you have nothing to fear" "with the history the two of you have, and what i've experienced with both of you,I have every reason to be weary and scared" I said angrily "Nora,when there is a reason to be scared of me talking to her,trust me you would know and be truly scared,right now you are just being dramatic" he replied walking out of his apartment.

Mason and Nancy kept meeting up and the news kept spreading,to save our relationship Mason's parents proposed we get engaged to make him serious. Mason although a bit hesitant,he did propose and it was all over the internet. I decided to have my engagement party a night before Nancy's wedding to keep Mason too busy to try anything,and his parents handed over their company to him to manage making him extremely busy.

My engagement party was glamorous as would be expected of me.My mom, dad alongside Mason's parents went all out for us.I know our wedding would be more glamorous than this.Mason was by my side all evening although he was not as bubbly as I would want him to be but the night went well.Nathan was here with Natalie again and I wish he would show how happy he was for me but he simply said " Congrats Nora and Mason I hope it's everything the both of you wanted" and I smiled hugging him saying "Thanks Nathan" while Mason nodded."Congrats Nora, your party is amazing,I wish you guys lots of love and happiness"the b***h by Nathan's side said and turning to her pathetic face I smiled and replied

"Thanks,of course for my event you should know it would be nothing short of classy,elegant and sophisticated which is something I don't think someone like you would ever be able to understand" I said while Nathan and Mason were talking "oh and they already have lots of love and happiness, yours isn't needed" Sandra chipped in while I laughed.

"just because of the occasion,I would ignore your stupid comment but make sure you remain on this high else you would pay for what you dished out today" Nathan said to me and I just shrugged turning away.At the end of the night Mason was drunk and when we got to his apartment he simply slept off.The next day Mason was being all grumpy but I didn't want to leave till it was evening so I endured come evening I was happy to leave.

I got home happy,picking my mom's call she encouraged me to discuss with Mason so we can fixed a date for the wedding and I agreed even though I wasn't in a hurry.The next day I was surprised to hear that Nancy's wedding did not hold cause she backed out of it. feeling uneasy about it.I kept calling Mason all day but he didn't pick so I rush to his apartment only to find out he wasn't around.I kept calling for three days straight without him picking and I felt it in my gut that something was wrong.

That weekend I went home as per my parents request and immediately I came in my mum rushed towards me saying "Oh sweetheart, my sweet sweet baby. i'm so sorry.Mummy is always here for you" I was surprised so I asked "what is going on mum" "Oh my,she is still not aware.oh Nora,i'm so so sorry" Sandra said. "what the hell is going on" I asked nervously and after a moment of silence my Dad said "Nora have you seen or spoken to Mason in a while" "No,he hasn't been picking my calls,is he ok, please tell me he is safe and OK" I asked too scared of the answer I would get "He is fine Nora" my mum said "So what is all this about,can someone just get to the point of all this and stop giving me a panic attack" I screamed "Sweetheart, Nora your fiancé eloped with that lady,I think its Nancy" my Dad said "So they went on a trip together, I would definitely confront Mason about this" I said fuming "Sweetie they eloped,and they got married in las Vegas" my Dad concluded and the next thing I saw was my mum and Sandra hovering around me "Nora, please wake up baby" my mum screamed "Call an ambulance" my dad said to the maid "No need I just need a little rest. what exactly did I do wrong I kept asking myself, I gave him every thing, I did everything just to make this work.Why would he do this to me.Did he ever care about me."oh my she won't stop crying" I heard sandra say and feeling my face I realized I had been crying ever since."baby we are going to fix this,I promise"my dad said but I was numb. After a while Mason's parents came in but I was so lost in thought that I paid no attention to what they were discussing with my dad.I only snapped back to reality when Mason walked in,rushing towards him I noticed he was holding Nancy's hand and my steps faltered. "Why Mason,what did I do wrong,what didn't I do" I asked him "You are amazing Nora but I'm just madly in love with her" he said "Then why did you ask me out or even propose" I asked "I did care about you at first but Nancy kept me on my toes,she pushed and motivated me to be better.That day at the rehab she gave me the option of getting clean and being with her or losing her forever,that was all the motivation I needed to become sober again.i'm sorry I proposed and broke your heart but my parents gave me no choice" he said "shut up young man,we are going to rectify this,you are going to divorce her and we would pretend this never happened so we can move foreword with your marriage to Nora" his dad said fuming "Nora everything would be ok,we would fix this" his mum said to me and I nodded.

Nancy won't get my man,Mason is mine I thought "Just stop this,all of you" I heard someone say and turned to see Nathan has been here all this while. Turning his attention to me Nathan said "You are no longer a baby Nora,stop acting like one and stop babying her you all.Its time she starts facing reality,Nora you wouldn't always get what you want in life and this is one of those cases cause this guy over there does not love or want you.Deal with it" he said and I was hurt "I would never divorce Nancy for anyone not even you Nora" Mason said "Oh you would else...." his dad said but he cut him off "else what!another threat, you should be ashamed of yourself.You can keep your shares in the company thank God I already have 10% share in it personally and i've been living on that" Mason said "you can't do this to me Mason,its too humiliating" I said trying to make him understand but he said "I don't feel that way about you Nora and i'm married now,i'm sorry i hurt you but please move on" he replied

"Just so you know, Nancy is pregnant for me and you would not be seeing our baby"he said to his parents then turned away "I hate you Nancy,you w***e,i'll never forgive you for snatching him.what do you even have? nothing,you girl from the slum,gold digger"I screamed crying "I'm sorry Nora but if you keep thinking like that you would never find love.Love doesn't depend on class,status or money.Don't end up in a loveless hateful marriage cause of that stupid mindset. bye Nora" she said, turning to Mason's parents she said "I would definitely like my children to meet their grandparents but if your attitude remains the same, I would never let you near them" "Are you having two babies" Mason's mum asked with tears in her eyes "Yes twins" Nancy replied and she hugged her right in front of me.Seeing that I realized it is over.
