Hansel's POV

After that awkward discussion with Joy,I decided to try getting Sammy to spill the identity of the individual responsible for leaking the tape.To get Sammy to talk I had spend more time with her cause like Joy said it's not like I can really say I know her anymore so why would she be willing to spill such detail to me.After two months the only information I got from Sammy was that after the tape was leaked the individual sent her some amount of money to compensate her promising her that they would make sure no one know she was the one on that tape if she just kept quiet.I informed the guys about this but I could tell they weren't impressed at all.My relationship with my girlfriend is strained all because of this issue with Sammy and I know Joy would snap real soon.So once more I met up with Sammy to talk.

"I'm so happy we can talk without anyone interrupting"Sammy said while we ate at a restaurant."Sammy,there is a limit to my patience and I'm almost at the end of it, so I'll get the the point,who is responsible for leaking that tape Sammy"I said in serious tone "I'm so sorry Hansel,I didn't mean to make you upset, I'm just scared of everything,I don't want any trouble"she replied with her voice shaking "I've explained to you on several occasions that there is nothing to be scared of,it doesn't matter if they are blackmailing you,you did nothing wrong,I can't stop the guys from releases whatever information they have, trust me Sammy, everything would be okay if you just tell me"I said trying to reason with her while she cried."I'm not ready yet Hansel"she replied rushing out. I am frustrated and irritated with the situation and Sammy is not helping at all.

When I got home my girlfriend ignored me as usual.My mom called to invite us over saying it was urgent so the next day we drove down."Why are you mad at babe, I'm trying to fix this and you know this"I said to my girlfriend when we got to my mom's house "By fixing it do you mean spending time with a girl who doesn't respect the boundaries of our relationship or are you referring to making my bestie,your friend pay for something she didn't do? your excuse is as lame as the attitude of that b***h so spare me.Just so you know I'm closing to snapping, anymore s**t from you or your precious Sammy,I'm gone"Joy replied before getting down from the car.

"Hey mom,how have you been" I asked "Hello Mrs James,how are you"Joy said "I'm fine,I just have something to discuss with you two"my mom replied just as Sammy walked downstairs "Great,just f*****g Great"Joy muttered and I sighed sensing drama."So Sammy told me everything about the leaked tape,and I think it not right for your friends to release whatever they have.i want you to talk to them Hansel, maybe Joy could also help to convince your friends. Sammy is just traumatized with every thing and she needs time to come to terms with what has happened,maybe then she can talk about it"My mom said and I was pissed at Sammy for involving my mom,cause from the tension in the air,I know my mom and my girlfriend are about to quarrel."Do you realize that the other individual mistaken for Sammy is like a sister to me and she has been bearing the brunt of what she didn't do, don't you think she is traumatized as an innocent party in all this,but you are willing to protect the guilty party who inturn is protecting the culprit in all this,what an irony"Joy replied "I never meant it like that,I just think Sammy should be given a little more time before facing all these" my mom said "And what about Natalie,I guess your solution is that she should suffer more right"Joy replied sarcastically "babe please calm down"I whispered to my girlfriend "It's just for a little bit more,it's not like it's gonna affect her so much" my mom said "And why do you think it won't affect Natalie so much"Joy asked my mom "What I mean is that in your community things like that aren't much of a big deal compared to ours, while Natalie is fully from your community,Sammy is mixed" my mom said ruining everything,I could sense the mess about to go down "oh! you mean since Natalie is black it's ok for her to be the one with a s*x tape not Sammy who is mixed right"Joy replied sarcastically "No,I meant Sammy's dad is white so the news of that might make his family cut ties with Sammy and her siblings so she need a little time to prepare herself,even tell them to cushion the effect of the news"My mom said,turning to me Joy said "Are you guys serious,can you hear how racist you sound,is this your angle too Hansel,is this the reason why you have been dragging this out,wow! I can't believe you all,I wonder what else you've been planning with this b***h anytime you guys meet up"Joy said "babe it's nothing like that ,I promise,I care about Natalie too,she is my friend and I don't want to hurt her too,I'm just want to make sure we exhaust other options before doing that"I explained quickly.

"This is his childhood friend,joy.He shouldn't have to explain this to you but he needs to protect her.he can't throw what they have away"my mom said "Really! but it's ok for him to throw what we have away,well in that case,you can trust that I would make sure they clear my bestie's reputation quickly even if it means releasing that tape online.Brace up Sammy,you have a lot coming ahead of you"Joy replied while Sammy cried hugging me,can this get any uglier,I thought."Sammy,it's ok,we'll fix this"I said before turning to Joy who was looking at me hurt "Harmless huh!" she said hurt "Hansel would always care about her Joy, it's just how it is" my mom said complicating things "Mom stop this, that's my girlfriend and I love her"I said "Then she should stop acting like she is jealous of Sammy, it's ok if you guys are close"my mom said "I get Joy,I know the fact that we are close now and you care about me seems too much for her but we can't help how we feel about each other" Sammy said "Shut up b***h,focus on thinking about how to clear your reputation w***e,cause you are about to get f****d up" Joy told Sammy angrily "Really and you wonder why he cares about her with the way you speak,using swear words all the time,I wouldn't be surprised if he falls in love with her again"my mom said "What! I am not attracted to Sammy mom,stop trying to ruin my relationship.I thought you liked Joy"I said to my mum "I do,I don't like how she is acting,she needs to tone it down a bit" my mum said "Besides it not like you guys never dated before"my mom said referring to Sammy and I."Take me home now, Hansel"Joy said quietly "Babe please don't get mad, I'll fix this,I promise you"I begged trying to calm her down. "Hansel you have to help Sammy out" my mom repeated as we left her house.

if I thought things were bad before,it was worse now.Joy is fuming and I know this is the last straw for her.I ended up regretting going to my mom's place.In as much as I cared about Sammy,I loved joy and I really never meant to hurt her. Getting home I tried talking to joy but she ignored me.After a while she said to me "I'm done tip toeing around this issue,so I'll just state your options right now.Its either Sammy or me,you can't have both, at least not with me in that equation.But before you choose just so you know I won't be on your side about dragging this issue out,I want that tape released and I'm not scared of stating this" joy said "Babe please, don't let whatever my mom said,get to you.i promise I'll fix this"I replied "Nah,I'm done falling for that,you have three weeks to make a decision. Sammy or me"She said before walking to the bedroom and shutting the door.
