TessI was pulling out of the parking spot when my phone dinged. I pulled it out expecting a text from Grier.

I smiled and slid open my phone.

I looked around the parking lot and saw Tucker standing next to his pick-up truck. I just shook my head and laughed. My phone dinged again.

I laughed, waved and pulled out of the parking lot. I’d had such a great day that my face hurt from smiling so much. Then the realization of what could be waiting for me at home hit me and my stomach sank.
