TuckerTess Allen accepted your friend request. Tess Allen: Well, you are quite the persistent one, aren’t you? “What are you smiling so big at?” Isaak asked as we walked past the time clock. “Ha, nothin’ man.” “That s**t eating grin don’t mean nothin’. What’s up?” “Remember that lady from the other night?” “Yea.” “Well, she shot me down that night.” “Oh, I remember vividly pretty boy.” “Well, I’m pretty stubborn. Maybe it’s the country boy in me, but I see something I want, and I keep going.” “When you look like an underwear model, the ladies tend to give you a little more leeway.” Isaak was an attractive older guy, I assumed maybe of Latin origin because of his coloring and his last name was Peres. I was pretty sure that he had no difficulties in the lady department. I never saw him wear a wedding ring, which wasn’t uncommon at a factory, but he did have a picture of an attractive dark-haired lady on his phone. “Yea, yea. You love giving me a hard time.” “Yep.” “Okay Esai Morales. I’m sure you get plenty.” “Ha, Esai is a good-looking dude. I’ll take it. Nah, Araceli put a stop to that a long time ago.” “Ah, so that’s the mystery lady on your phone. Wife or girlfriend?” “Wife and she’s crazy man. Gorgeous and crazy. She don’t play around. One time, Helen from HR left a message on my cell and my lady freaked out man. She heard a lady’s voice and made me play her the message, so she knew it wasn’t nothin’.” “Dude, that’s insane.” “I know huh, but that’s my lady and I love her. But anyway, we weren’t talking about me Justin Timberlake, what’s up with your lady?” “I found her on f*******:, through her friend that I had coffee with. And sent her a friend request. She accepted.” “Wait, are you friends with her friend on f*******:?” “No, I just know her name, found her and then searched her friends. It wasn’t that hard.” “I don’t keep up with that stuff. So, it’s good that she accepted your request?” “We’ll see, but I think so.” “Alright man, well keep me posted. Living through you young guys these days.” “You got it bro, see you tomorrow,” I waved to Isaak as we split off and walked to our cars. I stared at the screen of my phone as I walked to my car, debating my response. Tucker Byers: Indeed, I am, ma’am. I hit send on the messenger, got in the car, put the phone in my cupholder, put my seatbelt on and took off toward home. I wasn’t driving for more than two minutes when I heard my phone vibrate in the cupholder. Tess Allen: Some could call it stalking I laughed. “Beautiful and witty, I like that.” Chapter 12
