TessI expected the worst when we got home, but he sat down in front of the TV and passed out.
When I finally checked my text messages, I had a couple from Lindi warning me that Grier had called her. One from Fawne asking if I was okay, one from Mom asking where I was, and the rest were Grier. All of the voicemails were from him in various states of “concern.”
The following day, my mom and I went dress shopping. I didn’t find anything that day, but I did a week later when Lindi and I went looking.
The next few weeks went by uneventfully. I managed to sneak away and see Tucker a couple times a week. I even helped him pick out a tree and decorate for Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, Grier went out to do some last-minute shopping, then meet up with his brother after for dinner.
