TuckerI kept looking at my watch, twelve-thirty felt like it was days away. Isaak and his wife, Araceli, had an amazing food spread placed out. I had to ask Isaak three times what everything was. He said it was traditional Puerto Rican fare; arroz con gandules, roasted pig, pasteles, and rice pudding. “Isaak man, the food is delicious. Back home, we’d be bringing in the New Year with some cornbread, fried cabbage, black-eyed peas and some pork roast. Well, that’s what we eat New Year’s Day.” “Yea, man this is all New Year’s food too, but we put it out for the party. Araceli said she’s glad she finally got to meet you.” “Oh, she’s great man and she doesn’t seem nearly as crazy as you said she was,” I laughed.” “Shh man, don’t let her hear you say that, I’ll be in the doghouse for weeks
