Chap 4

Lucas POV

She is not in her apartment. Did she even make it home. I look around and find the b****y clothes she was wearing in the hamper. So she came first. I think she went to work. She is going to hurt herself.

“This is a run down apartment.” Jaxon says with a gross look on his face. “I can’t believe she actually lives here.”

“I think she went to her weekend job. We will pick her up and bring her back home. She shouldn’t be working.”

“Where does she work?” Jaxon asked

“Boston Financial.” I say with a chuckle.

“Well boss let’s head to the office and find her”

I walk in the building and I can smell her instantly. Her scent is faint. She must be on a different floor. Now to find her on one of the 23 floors.

Mias POV

Why did I come to work today I feel so drained. I just want to sleep. I stop cleaning and walk into the women’s bathroom. I have bags under my eyes and I look like a truck drove over me. My uniform is so big and baggy on me.

It’s not 10am. I have two more floors to finish then I get to go home. Thankfully most people keep this office clean. I press the elevator button and head inside with my cleaning carts I lean against the wall. When the door dings I see two men looking at me. What are they doing here it’s supposed to be empty.

“I’m sorry. I’ll come clean this floor later” I said pressing the next floor button. The tall blood haired puts his hand in the door so they don’t close.

“Thank god Iv been looking everywhere for you Mia.”

How does he know my name. Who is he?

“Do we know each other?” I asked in confused tone. He takes my hand and walks me out of the elevator.

“I was the one who saved you last night. You are still recovering. You shouldn’t be working” he said is a soft tone.

“Thank your saving me lay night but I have to work. If I don’t I can’t pay my bills” I say with a chuckle.

“Since you could found her I’m going to head home. See you later buddy” said the brown haired man.

He waves and takes off. Man he is fast. I grab my cart out of the elevator ignoring the tall hot blond that keeps fallowing me.

“You really shouldn’t be working baby. The dr said you need rest.” He said is a more stern voice.

Did he just call me baby.

“Hey look mr. thank you for helping me last night but don’t call me baby. I’m not your baby.”

“What do you remember about what attacked you last night?”

“I know exactly attacked me. Why?”

He eyes flash yellow and his fangs descend. Omg I’m going to die. I scramble to the stairs and run down them. He runs and supernatural speed and is in front of me. I trip and fall the last few stairs down. He runs and picks me up. I’m sure my face is of total fear.

“Hush baby. Your alright. Your my beloved. My mate. I would never hurt you. I want to love you and keep you safe” he says in a voice that sounds like smooth chocolate.

“Can we go to my house or your house and talk. I promise I won’t hurt you.”

“Fine” is all I can say. This is one weird day.

Lucas POV

I can’t find her. Where could she be. We have a few more floors to check when the elevator opens before I press the button. There she is.

“Thank god Iv been looking everywhere for you Mia.” I say in relieved tone

“Do we know each other?” She asked in confused tone. Well she was unconscious when we meet last.

“I was the one who saved you last night. You are still recovering. You shouldn’t be working” i say to her in a gentle tone.

“Hush baby. Your alright. Your my beloved. My mate. I would never hurt you. I want to love you and keep you safe” i says to her in my most comforting voice.

“Can we go to my house or your house and talk. I promise I won’t hurt you.”

“Fine” is all she says.

I teleport us to her apartment.
