Chap 3

603 Words
Mias POV I wake up on a hospital bed. How did I get here? The events of the night are still foggy. Wait there were vampires. Freaking vampires. I need to get out of here. Not only am I freaking out about the vampires but I hate hospitals. Last time I was in a hospital was because a foster father beat and r***d me. I climb up and see my neck is stitched up. I find my purse and phone and slowly open the door. The halls are empty and quiet. How do I get out of here. I quickly walk down a hallway and put some doors. Where the heck am I. This looks like a village or a company. I quickly walk to the front gate which is open and walk out. I walk at a quick pace and finally reach a bus stop within the city limits. I bus comes shortly after. I’m thankful to be a live. I have work at 8am and it’s about 6 now. Should I call in or just go inside I need the money but I need some rest. I slowly walk the 4 stories of stairs to my apartment. I close the door behind me and grab a Gatorade from the fridge. I am definitely dehydrated. I shower and get dressed for work. I find a yogurt in the fridge and scarf it down along with a half peanut butter sandwich. I lock up my apartment and head back down to the street to head to my cleaning job. Thankfully the t shirt I wear for my janitor job covers up my neck. I don’t know how I would explain that. On the weekend Boston Financial isn’t open for people to work so it’s just cleaning. It’s quiet and calm. I put my headphone on and start my duties. Lucas POV I walk back to the hospital. It’s a little after 7am. I finished getting our room ready. My mom ordered her some clothes that will arrive this afternoon. My sister Ava lent me some for her to wear until they arrive. How am I going to explain all of this to her. Explain she won’t have to live in that awful apartment or work 3 jobs anymore. I walk in to her room and find the Empty. The head Dr and nurse are talking. “WHERE IS SHE!” I yell out. “W-w-we don’t k-know sir. I check on her at 5 am but she was still sleeping.” The nurse stutters out. “We came back in to check on her a few minutes ago and she was gone master. I wanted to talk to her about doing a physical. She doesnt seem healthy enough let alone her blood loss.” Said the Head Dr. Where did she go. What do you mean she’s not healthy. I know she’s really skinny. “Wait what do you mean not healthy?” I ask the dr. “Well she is underweight, her stress level is high and she is malnourished as well. She will need medical intervention to be healthy again.” Maybe she went home? Or to work. I need to check her home first. I hope she didn’t try to go to work after last night. “Jaxon! I need you to come with me to find where my beloved has gone.” Jaxon is my best friend and second in command. A few of us including the head families have enchanted rings and necklaces that allow us to be able to go in sun light without harming ourselves. Please baby alright baby. I’m coming to find you.
