[The students buzzed with excitement. It was a new session of school activities. Friends hugged, teachers caught up with each other, and more students trooped into the large auditorium. Just as the noise got louder, a voice echoed through the hall and everyone stood still turning towards the tall, blonde Principal Fredrick] Principal Fredrick: Good morning students. I am very delighted to see you all Hale and hearty back to school. Make sure to keep up with the schools daily newspaper and get updates on activities and random informations. As you return to your class, let there be order and peace. We don't want any report of fights and bullying. Behave well and make this school proud. Once again welcome back to school. (Exits the podium as loud applause erupts) Jayson: (climbs the podium) Welcome back to school everyone. I would love to announce to you that we would be having our Halloween party on the eighth week and also more exciting activities that would be posted around the school. We appreciate your endless efforts in making Greenville high an interesting place to learn and i, your school ambassador welcomes you to school. Have a great day! (Loud cheers and applause erupts as Jayson climbs down from the podium) [The class was really noisy as every student re-united with old pals and other student discuss. Just then, Principal Fredrick enters with a young girl and the whole noise immediately dies down]. Principal Fredrick: Good morning students. Class: Good morning principal Principal: We have a new student in our midst. She'll introduce herself and your form teacher would fix her somewhere. Aneline: They can fix her back to the trenches (The whole class gasps and low murmurs follows) Principal Fredrick: That's a rude thing to say Aneline. Apologise now! Aneline: What's wrong with saying the truth. I mean look at what she's wearing. A potato sack looks better than that outfit. Okay fine sorry new girl. I'm just used to saying the truth. Principal Fredrick: (to Mira) Please don't take her statement to heart. Mira: It's okay sir. Principal Fredrick: You know what? Just find an empty seat I have a lot of things to attend to.(Mira nods). Good (turns to Aneline) Try being nice ( Aneline rolls her eyes) I'm serious.(leaves) (Mira walks through the rows of desk looking for a vacant seat) Trish: Hey! You can sit here(taps at a seat beside her Mira: Oh....(walks up to the seat) Thanks a lot.(sits down) Thank you. I'm Mira Trish: I'm Trisha but everyone calls me Trish. Please don't listen to Aneline. She's the school's Queen Bee and you know how those set of people are mean devils. And your outfit is awesome. She's already jealous of you cause you're prettier than her. Mira: (smiles) ☺️Thanks. Trisha: (smiles) it actually wasn't a compliment. It's the truth. The guys are already talking about you. Mira: (smiles) So........who's that guy sitting beside you. Trish: Oh that's Kyle. Major hottie. Presently the school's hearthrob. And plot twist we're cousins so you have my blessing. Mira: What?! I'm just asking cause he looks..........(hesitates for a moment and continues) Why is he wearing a headphone in class? Trish: Those headphones hardly leave him. Teachers don't bother him anymore because he still aces all his tests. Mira: That's weird. Trish: I don't know. He's happy that way. Mira: Can I swap seats for a while? Trish: Sure. ( They swap seats) Mira: (Taps Kyle lightly) Hey what's up? (Kyle ignores her) Hello? I'm talking to you. Kyle: (removes his head phones) What do you want? Mira: Hi, I'm Mira. You are? Kyle: Stop disturbing me. What's your problem? Mira: I'm just trying to be nice and you're being a total jerk. Kyle: Get lost new girl (places back his headphone) Mira: What a weirdo. Trish: Sorry. He's just going through a lot of things. Mira: That's an excuse people use in covering up their dirty manners. Trish: (chuckles) Don't worry you'll get used to Kyle. He's a nice guy actually. Mira: Making excuses for your cuz. Don't worry I'm never talking to him again Trish: (laughs loudly) Can we forget about Kyle? Mira: I don't even want to talk about him. Just want to punch his pretty face. Aneline: (to Mira) Hey newbie. Can you reduce your volume? Is that how you talk in your trenches? Mira: Can you just leave me alone? Aneline: Nope. I hate poor people who wear potato sacks as outfit. Mira: (stands up in rage) And what do you know about fashion or outfits? This(tugs lightly at her dress) is a Chanel maxi dress and there's nothing wrong with it. You're just being a jealous witch. And also for your information I'm not poor. This is not a junior TV show where people who dress outrageously are called rich. Im not a show off like you. Aneline: How dare you talk to me like that? Do you know what I stand for in this school Mira: Yeah I heard you are the queen bee but I'm not buying that till you poop honey (Class erupts in laughter) Aneline; (groans angrily) I hate you! Mira; I love you. (Aneline storms off furiously) Rick: Wow! Pretty and brave. I guess Aneline finally meets her match. Mira: (sits down and faces Trish who gawks at her) Hey,you look like you saw a ghost. Trish: (smiles) That was fire! You just roasted the school's Queen Bee. Mira:She was just being annoying and I couldn't contain my annoyance. Trish: She's not going to stop. Mira: I'm so ready for her. [Mira sat in the school's library scrolling through a book when Kyle walked in] Kyle: Are you seriously stalking me now? Mira: What?! You met me here. I could say you're stalking me but being stalked by a weirdo like you is a dent to my name so I'll just keep it cool. Kyle: So you love books? What other thing do you like?(sits opposite her) Mira: Silence. I love silence so you might as well do the honours of shutting your mouth up. Kyle: Come on I thought you were trying to talk to me in class Mira: That was way before I found out that you are a big fat jerk. Kyle: Are you still on that. I was just in a bad mood. Mira: I don't give a rat's butt if you lost your front tooth. I don't want to talk to you anymore. Kyle: Fine but at least can I know your name? Mira: Nope. Now leave me alone. Kyle: What if I don't. Mira: I'll scream till we get thrown out from the library. Kyle: Such a witch! Mira: I'm going to scream. Kyle: Fine I'm leaving (stands up) Do you seriously want me to leave? Mira:🙄I'm going to scream Kyle: I'm leaving.(leaves). [Mira stood in the middle of the crowded sports hall searching with her eyes as though she was looking for someone when she felt a light tap on her shoulder] Mira: (turns swiftly to face Kyle who is all sweaty with his shirt slung over his shoulder] 🤭 If it's not the devil himself..... Kyle: (cuts in) You hold grudges really tight. I apologized already didn't I? Mira: Can you please put on your shirt? Kyle: Why? You can't stand my abs? Mira: (scoffs) Abs? I just hate looking at pot bellies. Kyle: (frowns) Take that back. Mira: Okay I'm sorry. Why are you even angry? Kyle: Why wouldn't I? You just called me pot belly Mira:(laughs) You look hilarious when you're angry. Kyle: (frowns) It's not funny Mira: Okay fine. I'm sorry. I was just being sarcastic. You have great abs so why get worked up? Kyle: Aha.. .... .I knew you couldn't stand my abs 😜 Mira: 🤨(face palms herself) Exactly why I called you pot belly. Kyle: But you didn't mean it. (Stares at the bottle of water in her hand)😁 You brought me water? How romantic.(chuckles) Mira: (rolls her eyes) 🙄You wish. I actually got it for Trish. Kyle: What about me? Am I not your friend? Mira: Frenemy sounds better. Now if you'd excuse me, I have better things to do. Kyle: Come on, you can't walk out on me like that. Mira:(scowls at him) Watch me.(walks past him)...................
