Welcome to Freedom, Oklahoma. Home of Jessie McBride, Professional Bull Riding Rookie of the Year. Wow, it didn’t take them long to get that sign erected. I’m not positive what embarrassed me more, that I haven’t returned in 6 years or that I returned a broken man. This town embraced me even though I didn’t do the same. It’s not the town’s fault. That falls on my shoulders. Not much had changed as we drove along Main Street through town. Freedom has that old school downtown with storefronts and a small midwestern town atmosphere.
