Jessie’s P.O.V. I sat on the edge of my bed and stared at the clouds. I will not miss this view. Then I glanced at my leg, now wrapped with a large brace. The rods are no longer in my leg, and it’s no longer hanging on a string. It was amazing to move around again. I could never stay in one spot for very long. My leg still throbbed from the surgery, so I took painkillers like candy. The doctor told me not to rely on them and try other pain relief methods. The doctor completed the surgery two days ago. I was now the proud new owner of two metal plates in my leg. I guess airports will be fun now. My mom has been loading up my bags in her car with the help of the nurses. I had little, but it wasn’t light. She had finished taking out my last bag. I was only waiting for my discharge papers. I
