Willow’s P.O.V.
Saying the past week was rough would be an understatement. Jessie has held up better than I thought he might. He delivered a beautiful eulogy to his dad. There was not a dry eye in the building when Jessie finished. He stayed composed throughout his speech. But later, at the graveside, it was a different story.
Jessie began breaking down as they lowered his dad’s casket to the ground. It killed me seeing him hurt this much. I could only think of one way to comfort him. My arms wrapped around his chest, holding him. Jessie’s head fell to my shoulder as he let the tears flow. His arms pulled me closer to him. I stayed there until his breathing returned to normal. I pulled away, reaching up and wiping the remaining tears from his face. His expression was of someone who didn’
