Jessie’s P.O.V.
“I’m proud of the man you are becoming,” dad said.
Those words coming out of his mouth meant the world to me. I wish I knew he was proud of me all this time.
“Thank you, Dad. I realize there’s still more work to do,” I replied.
“Yes, but you can handle it. Promise me you will do right by Willow this time,” he added.
“I will,” I reassured him.
“Take care of your mom and sister. They will need you now more than ever,” he added.
I gave him a confused look. Why is he saying this to me?
“I love you, Jessie. Remember what I told you, Jessie. A good man will right his past mistakes,” Dad reminded me.
“I love you too, Dad,” I said, the tears filling my eyes.
“Goodbye, Jessie,” dad said as he faded away.
“Please don’t go! I need you!” I cried out.
My eyes shot open, and
