Willow’s P.O.V. I tore out of the driveway once I received the news. My emotions were a complete mess. I had one destination in mind, and I didn’t care how fast I was driving. I need to get there now. My truck fishtailed as I swung it onto the highway. I struggled to control the tears I felt forming in my eyes. The tires slid to a stop in front of the house. I jumped out and ran straight into the house. “Mom?” I called out. She came out of the kitchen. Her eyes were red and puffy. I made my way to her and threw my arms around her, hugging her tight. “I’m so sorry,” I sobbed, unable to control my tears. “Thank you, sweet girl,” she sobbed back.
