I felt the warmth first, I was as close as I could possibly get to my William. I knew it was him because of his scent filling my nose. I wanted so bad to never move again. The thought of Williams dad calling my brother made me nauseous. Would they force me to leave. Leaving my mate and life behind? My mind raced as I felt William start to run his hand up and down my shoulder. Him let out a heavy sigh.
" My Father called your brother 45 minuets ago. If I'm right he will be here within the next 20 to 22 minuets. Shall we get up and get ready? I'd hate for him to bust down my door and I have to fight him in my boxers. "
I groaned. I didn't want him to show up, and make me leave. I wanted to stay wrapped in my mates arms sleeping and happy. I wrapped myself around William and Huffed.
" No, I don't want to leave. "
I had never felt so childish but it was a need to be as close to William as I could be. He shifted us so he could carry me to the bathroom he handed me a purple brush and tooth paste. I brushed my teeth but didn't let him go, I could feel him finish brushing his before he moved on to start brushing my hair. peppering my forehead with soft kisses.
" Darling he can't take the mate of a lycan. Espically not when that lycan is about to be the King. I'm about to be the most feared and powerful man alive. Even if he wanted to I'd break the treaty for you. "
I looked at him as he carefully braided my hair. He was very good with his fingers. The sudden dirty thought enter my head and I felt my face heat up with instant embarrassment. He looked at me and smiled. I stumbled though my words trying to ask him a question.
" What um. What treaty? I had never heard of a treaty between my pack and the Lycans before? "
He looked at me and raised an eyebrow.
" Lycans live longer than werewolves, typically we don't have mates that aren't Lycans. Years ago my great great grandfather meet with some werewolf and they agreed that Lycans would never take a werewolf mate without the consent of the father first. However your father is well not available to give you away, so technically I'm breaking the treaty. "
I looked at him waiting to hear more.
" But lycan law claims once you find your mate you mark them, mate them , and protect them for life. It's not often Lycans find their mates and many are alone for centuries before they find the one the moon goddess made for us. So believe me love. Noone not even your Alpha brother is Taking you from me. Not without a blood bath first. "
He sighed heavily seconds before a pounding started on the other side of the door.
" You stole my sister you lycan d**k!"
William rolled his eyes pulling a pair of snug blue jeans on and grabbing a hoodie to through at me. it engulfed my small frame and even though I wore my leggings the hoodie was well down to my knees.
" He didn't steal me! I left on my own!'
My voice carried through the door as my brothers fist busted through the door. His eyes dark and on the verge of shifting when William opened the door.
" That's solid red oak you better replace that before you leave. "
William was calm and locked eyes with my brother.
" I am days away from being your king, is this anyway for you to act alpha?"
My brother's eyes switched between me and William. He finally let out a deep breath and looked at me. His eyes full of mixed emotions.
" Rylynn, Do you understand what it means if you mate with him? "
I'd heard stories of wolves and lycans, that mating a lycans can kill a wolf. I hadn't thought of anything but the mate pull.
" I can't leave my mate....I want to stay. "
Silus was everything but happy. His eyes dark and clouded. His mouth pulling into a snarel. He looked at William and growled.
" 1 month, you get 1 month to prove you are worthy of my sister and I will let her stay. if at any point she has even 1 issue I come get her and you never seek her out again. "
William tapped his finger to his lips.
" In one month we marry, by then she will understand how yh lycans pack here works and after the wedding she will be my pack Luna and Queen. "
Silus was furious his teeth growing barely able to hold his wolf back.
" Calm yourself alpha I would never force my mate to do anything she didn't want to do. She is safe here and nothing will happen to her here. "
Silus let out a deep growl and through his teeth gritted he muttered.
" Fine, 1 month. "
Silus turned on his heels and marched from the room. I looked at the hole my brother had left in the door. William shut the door.
" I'm serious about him fixing this door. I didn't break his doors when I met you. "
I broke out in a laugh. William looked at me smiling as he leaned over to rub his nose against mine giving me a soft kiss on my lips. I couldn't stop my head from spinning from the simple little brush of our lips. William smiled at me and for the first time since losing my mother I felt like I was safe and happy.
" William there's a hole in your door. "
me and William turned to the voice. It was a short girl with bright greens eyes staring at us.
" Alice what are you doing home? "
William narrowed his eyes so he looked at the child. She shook her head.
" Youre to be crowned king bro mom and dad brought me back from school. Is that your mate? "
The young girl stared at me and smiled.
" I'm Alice, Williams little sister it's lovely to meet you. "
