I woke up in an unfamiliar place. It was a place full of green. Both plants and trees. Maybe a forest or a jungle or a part of a mountain. I’m not sure. Despite the fact that I don’t know this place, I don’t feel scared. In fact, I feel safe. I feel comfortable with this man holding my hand.
He was wearing a white polo shirt tacked in his long khaki pants. His outfit compliments his each and every angle. A smell of his strong, manly scent lingers in the air. He’s taking the lead so I wasn’t able to see his face but I know, he looks nice. His back tells it all.
I went to look at our hands. He’s holding mine full of delicacy. No sign of harm. All I feel is sincerity.
I was so lost in my thoughts when he suddenly stopped. He’s now facing me; still holding my hand. His brown eyes were looking straight to mine. For a second, I was hypnotized. His beautiful features had made the world stop. He was just standing so still yet my heart won’t stop beating.
“Roseiya!”
I heard a shout calling my name. I looked back to see where it came from but I see none. I turned my gaze back at him but he was already gone. I ran to I don’t know where. I was hoping he’s still nearby. I was hoping I’d still see him again.
“Roseiya!”
Another call I heard looking for me only this time, I haven’t check it for I was busy searching for someone else. To be honest, I don’t know why. I just want to hold him again.
“Roseiya.”
The call is getting closer and closer as my heartbeat is getting so much faster. I still ran. Away from the voice hoping I was getting nearer to him. Even by running too far, it wasn’t enough. I haven’t escaped the calling and I still haven’t found him. I continued running. The fastest I could. So fast that I wasn’t able to see what’s in front of me. I tripped down as my white dress got stuck up with a bush.
I was busy pulling my dress out when I suddenly hear a groan. I looked where the sound came from only to see a big angry tiger getting near me. It was walking slowly but it’s fierce. I pulled my dress even harder wishing it would be cut off before the tiger gets my head but it’s too late. The tiger ran in my direction with its eyes set on me. It jumped aiming for me before letting a big growl and I can’t do anything but to cover my face with my hands hoping it would be enough as a defense mechanic. Before I even know it, my head is already covered in pain.
I sat down while gently massaging my head. Draevon right in front of me. Too much for a dream.
“I’ve been trying to wake you up for almost forever, Seiya!” He said looking really furious. “Have you taken millions of sleeping pills last night?” He asked while his hand is on his waist, the other one on his nape. Eyes closed while biting his lower lip. “I’m sorry. I guess I stayed up late last night.” I said looking at him. He scratched his head and fixes his composure seconds later. “Fix yourself up. Uncle Jon’s coming to pick you up in an hour.” He said before leaving my room.
I was just there. Still sitting in my bed. Half awoke and half asleep. I stared at my right hand. Everything felt so real. I left out a deep sigh before leaning myself back to my bed. I closed my eyes putting my right arm in my forehead. I was almost asleep again when I suddenly got a recall of what Daevron said. “Fix yourself up. Uncle Jon’s coming to pick you up in an hour.”
“Uncle Jon’s coming to pick you up in an hour.”
“Uncle Jon’s coming to pick you up in an hour.”
“Uncle Jon’s coming to pick you up in an hour.”
Snap! I quickly reached for my phone to check the time and day. Saturday 7:53 am.
Everything’s sinking in my mind right now. From Amara’s graduation to mom roasting up aunt Ruby to granny asking me to help the Hodkins to the call. I clearly remembered that we were watching Your Name when aunt Ruby called me.
“I’m pretty sure you already received the message however; knowing how tardy you are, I still made this call. This is solely to remind you that I want you here by Saturday. I also knew you’re good at saying no so I’ll be sure to send someone over to pick you up. I think 2 days preparation for your trip isn’t that bad.”
I quickly made my way to the bathroom to fix myself. I did everything in the shortest time I could. 1 hour? That isn’t enough. Aunt Ruby really gives me nothing more than a pain in the a*s. But technically, it wasn’t her fault that I stayed really late last night. I still need to pack my things. What on earth am I supposed to do? After taking a bath, I rechecked the time and it’s already 8:31.
Weirdly, my clothes looked fewer than usual. But I have no time to look for it. I put my blue croptop on partnered with a blue athletic skirt. I wore my white puma and ran downstairs to eat my breakfast. I was eating pretty fast making my mouth full multiple times when Amara spoke. “No need to hurry, Seiya. I already fixed your things earlier.” The spoon is still in my mouth when I paused after hearing it. Eyes wide open while set straight on Mara as if not believing what I just heard. Mara then looked straight in my eye. “I knew you forgot about it completely. Fortunately, I was able to wake up by 6 so I checked your room to see whether you did it or not. Upon seeing you haven’t, I made it myself.”
So that’s why my clothes looked fewer than it seemed yesterday. I quickly drank water to thank her. “Thank you for the generosity but, where are the bags?” I asked as I’ve seen no hints of the bags in my room. “On the couch placed in the living room. Draevon put it there before you woke up.” She answered before putting a spoonful of oats in her mouth. I stood up to hug the both of them which is not so hard because they are just sitting next to each other. “What am I supposed to do without the both of you?” I asked closing my eyes in the pleasure I feel. Draevon tapped my arm and said, “You’d always have us.”
Before a minute could even pass, we already heard the doorbell rang. I was sure without a doubt that it was uncle Jon so I stood up and fixed myself before heading for the door.
