Mike was standing on his mother’s front porch when I drove up Friday morning. His car was in the garage. He left it there because he didn’t trust Lori driving it. We went to Calumet Bakery, picked up some sweet rolls, then moved to Larry’s house. Augie was there, having a cup of coffee when we walked in. Nobody said much in between the sweet rolls and coffee. Finally, I had to say something on my mind since last Monday. “We all good to go? Anybody got anything to say? Now would be a good time.” “We’re all good to go.
