The female attendants wrapped and twisted my long hair into something sophisticated and then adorned it with diamonds. I chose a dark forest green dress, it was decorated with lace and hugged my body in such a flattering way that it accentuated my curves and made me look desirable even though, I know I will never be desirable again. Still. I looked at myself long and hard in the mirror, I would look my best for this rejection and I won't give him the satisfaction of seeing me fall apart.
