Rejected but still desired

The shocking revelation

Selena POV:

My head was pounding. I could feel the cold sheets beneath me, providing me some kind of relief. I wanted to open my eyes but my vision was blurring and I was finding it extremely hard to focus. "They're in here," came a voice and I tried to find the source as I turned my head towards the direction it came from, shakily sitting up in bed. This place smelled different.

"Selena!" Growled Ethan's voice, "Ethan?" I called out, my head was pounding, it was so hard to focus and my mouth was filling with saliva, a horrible sign that I was going to puke. Where the hell was I? His strong hand, wrappd around my arm and dragged me off the bed, "Ethan!" I exclaimed shakily, feeling even more sick at his rough man handling of me. I fell to my knees on the floor, unable to stand up and vomited.

"Take her to the infirmary," he said and I could hear the disgust in his voice. Two firm hands grabbed me and dragged me away. It was too much to bear. My head was spinning and my vision was blurry and I was naked and... and.. I was about to pass out!

Ethan POV:

Seeing her naked in his bed had my wolf reeling. So she did cheat on me. She betrayed me like she did that day in the woods, only this time it wasn't a kiss, this time it went further. I let out a loud growl and punched the nearest wall, leaving a whole in it. "Ethan," came my mother's voice, it was gentle but firm, "what!?" I snapped, tired of her bullshit too. Her face hardened at my tone and I felt myself internally cower, "I'm sorry," I apologized immediately. She nodded her head and solemnly walked over to me, "I am sorry about your pain, a mother never wants to see her son go through such," she said not looking at me. She was definitely disappointed and I could feel my stomach tightening with guilt. "I guess I have to reject Selena," I said, hoping it was what she wanted to hear so she would give me some sign of approval. She frowned, "according to the law, you can't reject her until she is 21 days past the last day you had sex." My mother turned further away from me, "oh," was all I managed to say, "and the party has already been planned, to reject her now would be humiliating for all of us." My mother's words were making me feel even worse, I did this. I caused all of this turmoil in her life. It was all my fault. "What should I do?" I asked and she scoffed at me, "you went against me Ethan." Her words were cold, "you didn't listen to me." She smoothed her dress as she finally turned to face me, "now you must face the consequences of your actions!" Those were her words before she left and I felt myself crumbling to the ground, there was so much guilt and regret and I was conflicted by love. I love Selena. Even though, she cheated, I still love her. I want her to love me back but loving her is only destroying my family! I sobbed even harder. My wolf on the other hand was quiet and had not said a word. It seemed like everyone was abandoning me.

Selena POV:

I awoke in a hospital room, my wrist was chained with a silver cuff to the hospital bed. What the hell!? I tugged instantly, pulling at the chains to free myself. "I wouldn't bother," came a cold female voice. I looked up to see Alice standing near the privacy curtain, "what do you want?" I asked, trying to put on a strong front but all I felt was weakness. I felt like I had low sugar and I would pass out at any moment but I willed myself to not show it, I wouldn't let the likes of Alice see me like this. She smirked at me, "I can't believe you would cheat on Ethan after you were the one who judged me so heavily." I felt my jaw drop at her words. Cheat?? On Ethan?? What was she on about!?

"Stop it!" I growled at her and her smirk turned into a smile, "why? Does it sting to be reminded of your infidelity!?" She chuckled and I felt my head start to spin again, "I never cheated on Ethan!" I screamed. I know I never did and I never would. "We were there," said Alice playfully as she walked closer to my bed, enjoying the turmoil she was inflicting on me, "we all saw it." I felt sick again at her words, this- it- can't be true.

"I want to see Ethan!" I screamed and she threw her head back and laughed, "such a shame, I don't think he wants to see you, he's been a bit preoccupied with me." Her words made my stomach drop, no. I would of felt it. "You are lying," I whispered as my eyes stared at her, unblinking and wide. "Hmmmm... You would think that but maybe if you're lucky, I'll prove it to you later." She giggled and covered her mouth girlishly, while I sat silently, unable to say a word to her shocking revelation.
