Chapter Four: The First Day At A New School

It is now Monday morning and the first day of school. I am so ready for this. Connor is taking me to school. We have spent every day with each other since I moved here. He is the sweetest. I get dressed and go downstairs and eat breakfast. Then I grab my book bag and head out the front door. Connor is waiting by his car. I see Anna, Matt, and Mason in the back seat.
I wave to them and walk up to Connor and he kisses me and says, “Good morning.”
I say, “Good morning Handsome.”
He just smiles at me and we get in the car. Connor then drives us to school. We pull up to the school and park. We all get out and Connor grabs my hand. We go into the school and to the office. I get my schedule and locker info. Connor shows me where my locker is and it is two down from his and right beside Anna’s. I set up my locker and look at my schedule.
Anna looks over my shoulder and squeals, “Yes, we have all of the same classes.”
I say, “Yeah that is so awesome.”
Connor comes over and we see that we have math and English with him too. We have English first and then Math. I get to be with him the first two classes and we all have lunch together. We go to the first two classes. As we are walking to my third class, I see Trish and some other girls and they are all glaring at me. I think I just heard Connor growl. I just look down and Connor puts his arm around my shoulder and says, “Just ignore them, they are bitches.”
I just nod my head.
We get to my class and Connor leans down and says that he will see me at lunch and kisses me on the lips and then walks away with Matt and Mason.
It is now time for lunch. Anna and I walk into the cafeteria and get in line for food. I get a burger and some fries. She gets the same and we see Connor and his friends sitting at a table in the middle. We walk over and I sit down next to Connor.
He looks at me and says, “Hey Elle, I missed you. How were your classes?”
I say, “Hey I missed you too and they were fine.”
He then leans down and kisses me. We then eat our lunch. Connor has his hand on my thigh the whole time. We look up and Matt comes running over and says that there is a fight in the hallway. We all get up and go in the hall to see what it going on. It is Trish and she is fighting a girl with glasses. She is not even fighting back and is crying. Matt and Mason break them up and ask what is going on?
Trish is yelling, “That nerd touched me so I had to teach her a lesson.”
Matt asks the girl, “Are you OK?”
She says, “Yes and then runs to the bathroom.”
Anna and I follow her. She is in one of the stalls crying. I ask her to come out and when she comes out she has a cut on her lip and it is bleeding. I help her get cleaned up. We calm her down. She tells us that her name is Abby and she was just walking down the hallway and Trish pushed her down and started hitting her.
I say, “Wow what a b***h! Well, guess what Abby, you can hang out with Anna and I.”
Anna agrees with me and Abby looks so happy. We all go back to the cafeteria and Abby comes and sits at our table. Trish is glaring at us. I don’t care.
Connor puts his arm around me and whispers in my ear, “Is she ok?”
I say, “Yes.”
We enjoy the rest of our lunch and I find out that Abby is in all of my classes too. We become fast friends. It is now the end of the day and Abby, Anna, and I are headed to the parking lot to meet Connor, Matt, and Mason. As we walk out of the front door, I see Connor leaning against his car and talking to his friends. We walk over to them and he kisses me on the lips.
He says, “Are you ready to go?”
I say, “Yes.”
We all hop in his car and go home. Well that was a very weird first day. I hope tomorrow goes way better.
