Chapter 38: Scandal In The Bar

Barbie waved her hand, "Shoo! Shoo! Leave us. We don't like you to be with us."

Underneath the table, Celine kicked Barbie's foot causing the latter to scream. "Ouch! Who kicked me?"

The said Denver grinned. He braced one of his hands on the table and brought his face closer to Barbie, causing her to slightly lean over and constantly blink. "Beauty, look, even ghosts are against you." He traced his finger on the cheek of stupefied Barbie.

"Hey, hands off!" Denice and Melanie scolded at the same time. That's the only moment Denver’s friends acted. Oliver sat next to Melanie and Joseph sat in between Celine and Nelia.

"Relax, my brother won't bully her." Oliver smiled as he held onto Melanie's hand that was about to slap Denver.

“He better not.” Melanie snorted as she tapped Oliver's hand away.

Denver took Barbie's bottle of wine and swallowed the content. His face was drawing in closer to Barbie with wine inside his mouth when Barbie suddenly grabbed a bottle and threw the contents to the man's face.

"You f*****g s**t!" Denver blushed angrily, wiping his face.

"I told you to stay away from us. Why are you so stubborn? Can't you understand words?" Barbie pointed to the other two companions of Denver.

"Don't act like a Saint in front of me. No woman has ever embarrassed and rejected me like this." Denver gripped Barbie's face and forced a kiss. Melanie was startled and was about to stand up to push Denver away when Oliver suddenly pulled her into his arms. The five girls and Denice also got confused.

"Release Barbie!" Melanie shouted, struggling in Oliver's arms.

"You bastards!" Anica was about to strike Denver and Oliver when Joseph stopped them too. The latter stole the bottles they were holding and laughed.

Barbie was also shocked. Due to nervousness, she walloped the bottle on the man's head.

The bottle was smashed in pieces and blood flowed from the head to the cheeks of the man. Those at their table screamed in fear and the eyes of Denver’s companions widened.

Denver shook his head and glared at Barbie.

Melanie bit Oliver's arm so he screamed in anger at the same time releasing the woman. "What are you? Vampire? You bit me too deep. I will make you regret it.”

“You deserve that! You jerk!” Melanie shouted.

Oliver was about to grab Melanie while Denver was about to hit Barbie when the lights suddenly flickered.

Eventually, the tables moved towards Denver and hit his legs. This was followed by the appearance of a stranger man, wearing a black jacket with a hood. After that, the whole light went out.

No one was able to see anything around except hearing grunts, the shattering and falling objects and loud kicks and blows.

It did not last long and the surroundings also became quiet. Even the breathing of the three were nowhere to hear.

"What happened? Are they dead?" Kris asked in a whisper tone but no one dared to answer and made even a faint noise. They looked like they had become statues on the floor.

Soon after, the lights turned on again and what exposed them were broken objects and bottles that scattered around, the tortured and unconscious body of the three jerks and the most unexpected presence of Addorro Smiles. He was holding Melanie who passed out in the middle of trouble.

The stranger was about to turn around to leave when Addorro's voice suddenly echoed. "Sir, thank you!"

The stranger did not look back and just simply replied, "No worries. Please watch them and keep them safe."

"You can leave at ease."

"Good." The stranger was about to run away when the drunk Barbie suddenly said, "Hey, Mr. Black, it's you again? Why are you always appearing when I am in trouble? How many times did you save me already? I don't know anymore. Can you please tell me your name? "

"Miss Barbie, don't ask. I only did what a gentleman should do. You are drunk, you should go home."

"I am not drunk." The stranger was shocked when Barbie suddenly hugged him from behind which was actually unintentional and she only leaned on him due to drunkenness.

"Miss, get away from me." The man said, trying to remove Barbie's hand wrapped around his body.

"No! If you don't tell me who you are or who asks you to always come and protect me, I won't release you."

"Then I am sorry for this." The stranger quickly turned around and made Barbie fall asleep by slapping his nape.

"Keep her safe.” "Keep her safe." Said the stranger before leaving while Barbie's co-workers ran towards her.
