Chapter 39: They Begged Me Just To See HI Face

848 Words
*BARBIE HEAVENWARD POV* Slowly, I opened my eyes when the alarm clock rang on the side table and annoyingly vibrated endlessly. When I reached the clock and looked at the time, I suddenly threw it away when I realized the time. It was exactly eleven in the morning. Gosh? How does my work? Because of my fret, I quickly stood up, causing me to fall rolling on the floor as my vision became blurry and spinning and my head was pounding. I crawled to sit on the bed again holding my hurting head. "s**t!" I huffed. "I don't want to drink next time. This pain is killing me." Even before the door opened, I heard many footsteps approaching and just barged inside my room. "Barbie, what happened?" Anica asked behind Angelo. Wait? Why was he wearing a mask? “You guys, Why are you all here? Where is Melanie?" I said. "Don't mind her. She is still sleeping in her room. Her lover had taken good care of her last night." Kris smiled flirtatiously at me and even winked at me. My face contorted and my lips curled in disgust to what she did. "Are you fine?" Angelo squatted in front of me and checked my ankles and legs if I was hurt. "I am fine. My head only hurts a lot. So--" "So you fall from the bed." Angelo interrupted me. "How did you know?" He poked my forehead, "I know you so well." "Ouch! Angelo, you are so mean. My head hurts but you still poke it." "Next time, don't drink outside. If you want to drink, drink with me. Otherwise, what happened last night will happen again. Okay?" I secretly smiled inside me. If my heart has its own mouth, it might already shouted in happiness. Although I don't quite understand why, I was satisfied with the feeling. I pretended not feeling any funny thoughts and things. "How did you know about this?" "He is the one who picked you up last night. You even puke on his clothes." Anica said, smiling behind Angelo. She was like a teenage girl that was daydreaming of her crush. Gosh, what a fickle woman. She seemed to forget her fiance. I looked at Angelo, "You- you picked me?" "Yes." "How did you know where I am?" "You mentioned it to me. After I handled my business, I  went straight to the bar to look for you. It turns out I found you leaning over the table unconscious." Angelo's fingers gently traced on my face and tucked my hair in my helix. "Barbie, promise me, don't drink outside without me again okay?” "But--" "Promise me!" Angelo and I stared at each other for a long time. His eyes were full of emotion and pleading. I sighed. "Alright! I will listen to you." The five behind Angelo shrieked in excitement who were enjoying watching us. Stupid Bitches. What were they delighted about? I rolled my eyes at them and looked back at Angelo. I touched his mask, "Why are you wearing a mask?" He stood up slightly and brought his face closer to me and whispered, "I don't want them to recognize me. You know it already why." I covered my mouth with widening eyes. "Yes. Yes. Right! Why did I forget that. I am really stupid." I was about to hit my head when Angelo quickly grabbed my hand. "Don't hit yourself. If you feel like hitting, hit me instead of yourself. That way is hurting me." I pinched his shoulder, "Hey, what are you saying? Stop that. They are looking at us. I'm afraid they will misunderstand you." "Ignore them." Angelo finally stood up and I was bemused when he held out his hand to me. I wondered as I looked up, "What?" "Let's go downstairs. I made a Pork stew with Tamarind. Have some soup, it's effective to cure your hangover." I smiled, "Really? You cook for me again?" "Again? Barbie, did he often cook for you? Wow, how lucky you are." Celine uttered from behind. "Barbie, last night we begged your friend." Kris even emphasized the pronunciation of the word friend as if to indicate something. "We asked him to show his face but he ignored us. Barbie, we are so curious about his look. Why don't you ask him to show his face." "Please!" The five begged at me with a cute expression. "Curiosity doesn't bring anything good." Angelo and I said at the same time which made the five look at each other meaningfully while Angelo and I  stared at each other as well. Kris applauded, "Wow, you two have really a tacit understanding huh. Even your thoughts are similar. Good job." "Okay, enough. I am going down. I'm hungry. I want to sip pork soup." I stood up and about to walk when Angelo bent down and lifted me up. I shook my legs because I was embarrassed, "Angelo, put me down. I can walk." "No. You are still a little tipsy. I am worried to let you walk in the stairs." He fiddled my nose. "Be a good girl." "Aiya, guys, why are we here? Since they are fine now. Let's go home. I don't want to be a light bulb here." Celine said and came out from the room first which made me feel pleased.
