02: Mission 0

So this is how this is going to work. We all have to share one room, one bed and make it work. Just great.  I sighed as we walked into the room. There was a book on the table and the window was closed. There was a chair by the window so someone could sit and read there. The room wasn't small so there was some room for us to figure this out.  "You can sleep in the bed Titania." Fenrir said. I waved my hand in the air with an awkward giggle. "Oh no it's fine, I can sleep in the chair or on the floor." Glen raised his eyebrow as he took his shoes off. "Just sleep in the bed cause Fenrir will not stop bugging you unless you sleep there." I nodded my head before walking towards the bed. Ares closed the door after everyone walked in but how am I the only one that feels weird? "I'm beat." The elven man said as he sat his heavy weapons on the ground, Fenrir doing the same.  "Me and Glen will sleep outside. Ares will stay in here with you." I looked up at Fenrir then back at Ares. I didn't mind but I will kill him one day. I shrugged my shoulders before sighing.  I guess I should get comfortable.  Shrugging it off my shoulders, I unclipped the button on my cloak before swinging it off of my shoulders. I felt a gust of wind fly by me as I sighed. My hair wasn't getting any air in this thing and I was sweaty. My body felt 10 times lighter with this thing off. "Oh your actually a girl Huh." I looked over at Ares confused by his words. "Why do you say that? You didn't believe me?" He shrugged his shoulders before sitting down in the chair.  "No but your body shape and your chest says it all." I looked down at my body before covering myself. My cheeks got hotter and I was a little irritated. Someone save him from dying please. "Leave her alone Ares. He's just messing with you Titania." I looked over at Fenrir before looking down at the bed and nodding my head. I then sat down to take my boots off but something seemed wrong. As I looked around the room, my eyes caught a mirror that was on the wall. It was just there. I didn't see it when we first came in.  "Was that there before?" I asked Glen and he looked over at it. "Maybe." The ground then started to rumble and I felt way more uneasier. "Acid Arrows." My crossbow appeared and I shot my silver arrow at the mirror.  On impact, the glass broke while the acid soon disappeared once it hit. The mirror broke into various different pieces before disappearing. I hummed before raising my eyebrow. "It was magic?" Fenrir asked and I nodded my head. "Something had to be in it." Glen said as I stood up and pulled my arrow out of the wall. "Whatever it was, followed you all here because I came from the Mages College."  Glen took a deep sigh before rubbing his pupils. "I should have known you were from the Mages College." "She could be a spy." "She's not a spy Ares." "Yeah I'm not a spy I just travel." "And the Mages College let you travel?"  I was at a loss for words.  "Yeah exactly. Spy." I scuffed before putting my crossbow down. "Goodnight." I said before sliding into bed. I didn't want to hear what Ares had to say. I saved him and this is how he repays me? With attitude? All he's been doing is arguing with me since I got here. I need sleep. "Rise and shine princess." I heard as the curtains opened. The sun shining directly on my face. I groaned before turning my body and covering myself with the blanket. I didn't want to get up. I wasn't ready yet.  "Let's go." The blanket was then snatched away from me and I just cuddled up to my legs. "Give that back Ares." I heard him chuckle before he threw my cloak at me. "We're leaving." I looked up at him and covered my face with my hands since the sun was still shining on my face. It's official. I hate his guts.  "I'm getting up dang." I said before sitting up. I then grabbed my boots and slid them onto my feet before tying my laces. "When did you change?" I heard Glen say from the door. I looked over at him and rubbed my eyes. "My clothes change when I go to bed. I have to change now, see." A flash of light irrupted from the my chest and then there was a small *poof* sound before the light went away. Ares raised his eyebrows before humming as I grabbed my cloak and put it around my shoulders. I softly smirked before walking past him as I hummed a tune feeling pretty proud. "And we're keeping her because why?" I could hear Ares ask Fenrir but I just rolled my eyes. "She's a good asset to the team, lighten up Ares." I heard him scuff. It's very clear and stated that me and Ares are not going to get along. Maybe it's because I'm a half blood or just a female in general. Maybe he doesn't have good experience with women? Who's to say if he's ever talked to one with respect before. I don't know and I don't care as long as he keeps his problems to himself. "We have a mission." I stopped in my tracks. We were now outside of the inn and Fenrir is already talking about some mission. "What mission?" I raised my eyebrow before folding my arms. "There was this lady at the arena that we were following but I told Glen to go after you instead. So now we have to find her and stop her from whatever she's planning." "Thing is, we don't know what she's planning." Glen said after Fenrir. "Could be Medusa." "Medusa?" I questioned. What in the hell are they doing, going after Medusa. She's literally the queen of stone. I do not want to be at least 10 feet of her. "It could be her behind all of this but we don't know so let's go." Fenrir then started walking. I groaned as I knew this was gonna be a long trip. Well at least I got the right clothes for this trip. "Wait so you were raised by dwarfs?" I asked feeling a bit shocked. Fenrir hummed in response as I shook my head. "Wow." Was all I could say at the moment. Learning about my team members was fun but I couldn't tell them anything about me because who knows what they'll say or do.  "Ares here is a criminal prince." I nearly choked on my spit. "Criminal prince?" He smirked before throwing his axe up in the air and then catching it.  "Yep I'm royalty. Can't harm a hair on this head because I am worth millions." I scuffed before folding my arms.  "The only thing your worth is bullshit."  "Ouch. She got you there." Glen said with a soft chuckle before pushing the boy. Ares really didn't say anything, he just gave me a deadly glare before looking at the path ahead us. We were in a forest. Yes a forest. Walking through trees in broad daylight. Fun right? "So what about you Glen?" I asked as I looked at the boy. He scuffed before closing the book that he was reading. "Well me, that's a story for another time." He patted my head and I just rolled my eyes. Fenrir looked at me with a smile before saying: "What about you Titania?" Ares then stopped in his tracks and turned around. That caught his attention. "Yeah what about you half blood?" This guy.  "I don't remember much from my childhood alright." I said as I started walking again but to no avail, Ares stood tall right in front of me. Just because you're taller than me mister does not mean you can tower over me.  "Come on, tell us the parts you do remember." He raised his eyebrow. "I remember learning magic and kicking your ass." He scuffed. "Please Princess you can't even pick up my axe." I glared at him and he soon returned the favor. "Alright you two that's enough." A snap of a stick caught all of our attention. I soon shot my head into the direction I heard the twig but we were surrounded by trees, lots of them at that. I grabbed my crossbow and a arrow from quiver before pulling it back. I was waiting for the next movement I heard before shooting it.  "Ares."  I called out to the boy. He hummed in response as he stood next to me with his axe in hand. "I caught it too." Fenrir held his sword while standing next to Glen as they looked behind us. Me and Ares had the right, Glen and Fenrir the left.  "Ready?" Glen asked. -snap- "Break." Fenrir finished. I shot my arrow at the tree before we split into two groups. We didn't know where the sound was coming from but something was definitely here and we were gonna find it.  "Don't slow me down Princess." Ares said as I ran next to him. I rolled my eyes.  "I may be slow but I'm not that slow." He chuckled as birds chirped in the air. We'll see how this'll turn out. Me and Ares working together? Yeah there's bound to be some problems there.
