04: The Kiss

It felt like the fight lasted forever. It was no end to them. By the looks of it, Glen and Fenrir were tired and who knows how Ares was doing. Everything was just my fault. They wouldn't be in this situation if it weren't for me. I'm the cause of this fight. "Give in Titania." I mumbled before looking around me. It just seemed like Elias's men just kept coming and the only spell I know that can knock them all out is, "Sleep." A loud thump could be heard as I came back to reality. Did I cast the spell without even thinking? We all looked at each other confused before our eyes went to Ares. He was holding his axe in his hand while trying to catch his breath while Elias on the other hand was just smirking. Elias had the stamina of a god. He wasn't even taking Ares as a serious opponent. "You're good." Elias said as he walked around Ares. "Too bad you aren't good enough." Ares grumbled before gripping his Axe. "Ares don't!" My eyes widened and I knew that Fenrir and Glen were shocked too. It was... me? "Ares it's me, Titania. You wouldn't hurt me right?" I couldn't believe my half elf ears. Elias made an illusion of me to get to Ares of all people. He knows it's not me. Right? "That's not me Ares please don't listen to her!" I yelled from the bottom of my heart. This is the moment where I need Ares to actually trust in me. "Don't listen to her." My eyes widened as the illusion of me kissed Ares. I felt my heart drop as my crossbow fell out of my hand. I had no words. It was like being stabbed in the back. One of the worst feelings I have ever had in a long time. Ares stayed still the entire time as she pulled away from him. His eyes were closed and he looked relaxed as her back was towards Glen, Fenrir and I. "Titania would never kiss me, she's too stuck up to admit that she can't beat me." I smiled at his response. Ares then raised his hand and sliced the illusion with his axe as it disappeared. After the illusion disappeared, Elias was also gone. The illusion was a distraction for him to escape. "He got away." Fenrir said as he walked towards Ares. "Yeah we know." Ares retorted back. Fenrir then looked at him before letting out a deep sigh. With that Fenrir punched Ares dead in his cheek. I gasped while Glen's eyes widened. I covered my mouth before looking at Fenrir. He was mad but I don't think it was because Elias got away. "Are you serious?!" He yelled. "You let a minor illusion distract you and it was Titania at that!" Ares held his jaw before glaring up at Fenrir. "Well sorry I let him get away. You should have dealt with him then Mr. goody-too-shoes." Fenrir then gripped Ares by his shirt and pulled him towards him. "Just because the illusion was a woman does not mean you wait till it kisses you to make a move." "Guys." Glen said as he walked towards the two. I just walked back and hid behind a tree as I slid down and hugged my knees. My ears felt hot and I knew they were red. It wasn't a real kiss but Ares still kissed me, illusion or not. "This is between me and Ares Glen, stay out of it." "Well it's between all of us now but that doesn't mean anything, it was just a stupid kiss Fenrir calm down." "He mind as well kiss the real Titania since he feels like that." "It wasn't on purpose i***t so leave it alone." I didn't want to hear them all arguing. My ears are were to sensitive for their yelling. I shouldn't have left the mages college but at the same time, I wouldn't have met them. Their my team now and a team sticks together. "Would you three shut up!" I yelled as I stood up from behind the tree. I was tired of them arguing. There was no point on arguing over something so stupid as a kiss. "Would you stop arguing over a god damn kiss? It's just a kiss and an illusion at that so leave it alone!" I said as I took my cloak and threw it to the ground. I was in disbelief and I was tired from using so much magic. "Listen, I'm tired and weak, I can't deal with the three of you arguing so please stop." I said as I put my hand on my forehead. I had a major headache and I felt like my body was gonna collapse. I heard Glen sigh as he walked towards me and picked me up as he held me in his hands. My eyes were heavy and the only thing I could do was wrap my arms around his neck as my vision became darkness. "She's asleep." Glen said as he looked at her before looking at Fenrir and Ares. "We should keep moving." Glen said as he started walking. Fenrir picked up her bow while Ares grabbed her cloak and her bag before walking. The trip was silent between the three males as Glen walked in front of the two while Ares watched Glen carry Titania. Glen had a firm grip on her legs as he carried her through the woods. "I think we should talk about this." Glen turned around and looked at Fenrir. "About what?" Fenrir looked towards Titania. "It's been just us three for a long time and now that we have an actual girl on our team, we can't let unnecessary hormones get the best of us." Ares ears slight turned red before looking away. "What the hell are you even talking about Fenrir." Ares said as they kept walking. Fenrir rolled his eyes before answering. "We're all males and males all have some of the same desires such as," "Women." Glen finished. "She's not even that attractive to have any hormones towards." Glen rolled his eyes before saying, "Thats not what that kiss said." Ares was stuck as Glens response as his mouth was gaped open. He was not expecting that. The sound of owls hooting and the fire crackling made the night seem peaceful as Ares was cleaning his axe off, Glen was fueling the fire and Fenrir cooking their food. Although Titania was out cold, the three males found something to distract themselves with but that didn't stop them from taking glances at the girl a few times. More times then they could count. "Foods done." Fenrir said as he handed his two friends their food. The boys ate in silence while Titania in the other hand, her nose started to move as her eyes shot open. She sniffed the air before coming to inches close to Glen's lips before opening her eyes. "Food." She looked down at Glen's plate as Fenrir smiled. "I have some for you too." Her eyes sparkled as Fenrir handed her a plate of food. She never felt so happy to be offered food as she started eating. "Heaven." She said while eating. "You really are fat." Ares said from across the campfire. Titania rolled her eyes before answering with a nearly stuffed mouth, "If I could marry food, I would." Ares chuckled before putting his plate down and staring at the girl. He was fascinated by the way she ate for some reason. "Stop staring at me while I eat it's creepy." Ares came back to reality and looked down at his axe. Titania just smiled before finishing her food. A yawn then escaped her lips as she stretched out her arms. "Titania, before you go to bed," Fenrir started. The girl then looked at him with a confused look. "Could you tell us about Elias?"
