CHAPTER 40Miles worked a full day, so after a brief stop at the grocery store, he arrived back home. Shortly after he walked through the front door, Ryan came down the steps from the second floor, dressed for a night out.
“Are you sure you don’t want to join Bobbie and me for dinner tonight?” Ryan asked.
“Thanks, but I have some work to do. Besides, I’d like to get to bed early for once. I’ve been going at it nonstop ever since we returned from Mexico, so a quiet night at home with Molly really appeals to me.”
“Good, then we can spend the evening simply focusing on the two of us,” Ryan teased.
“Sounds serious.”
