Dear Diary; #1Journey

770 Words
+My Son My Son, yeah have proven thyself a good Son, a Prince Noble in Blood and Heart. Am sending you back into the world, a world where friends would become enemies, a world where thorns would prick you and tongues would lash you. The seductress would entice you, her lying lips would fill your ears with promises of satisfaction. Scoffers would arise and make you an object of mockery, their sneers would be all they can give you. Even your friends would laugh at you and call you the odd one out, but worry not Son because you remain the one that stands out. The enemy would lie in wait for the moment you are weak and losing your strength to tear you apart. *I am weak and totally unprepared for such a journey, I may yet again lost on my way or l**t after the satisfaction of the seductress. My heart might give up on you with all the mock and disapproval, in my weakness the enemy would make a meal of me. +My son, let not your heart be troubled, you are never alone. I have commanded the beasts of the wild to serve you, the leviathan to swim you across the seas of trouble. From the desert sand would spring waters to quench your thirst, the birds of the sky will sing melodies to lift your spirit when you are sad. I have stretched forth both my hands to you, on my right hand is a Book, on the left is gold coins enough to buy your comfort on your journey. You have but one choice, choose wisely because the right choice would bring you all you seek, greater than wealth can afford. *I thought to myself, what can bring me all I seek? even all that cannot be bought with these bags of gold coins? I was left with a single option, but of what worth could a book be? How can a book provide my needs? Cannot these gold coins buy a thousand copies and more of this book? Do I forgo such immense wealth for just one book? So many questions but my Dad gave me no answer, He only left me with a choice. The man in me lusted for the glittering bags of gold and the comfort it promises on my journey, but the king in me thirsted for knowledge, I needed to find out those things my wealth could not afford me, and so I went for the Book. My Dad looked at me with a smile of delight and satisfaction, I could tell He was proud of me, it dawned on me that I had made the right choice. He got up from His throne, gave me His hand and helped me to my feet. He pulled me to that warm embrace I cannot get enough of, kissed me and patted me on the back. He handed me the book and gave me His wisdom to know the power of the Book and understand it's secrets, I thanked Him, opened the Book to know it's content, behold it was worth more than the bags of gold. The Book was a map, a visual representation of the land my Dad promised me. The Book was a compass, pointing only to my destination. I never would've gotten lost in the first place if I had humbled myself and asked my Dad for directions. The Book was a tracker, it created a secure link with which to communicate with my Dad, whenever, wherever and for whatever reason, especially when I miss Him or when I need someone to talk to because He always listens. The book was food for my hunger, and drink for my thirst, the Book gave light to my path even at the darkest hour. The book is a sword on my right hand and a shield on the left, for when the enemy marches to make me it's captive. Even when my heart is unhappy, the Book tells it the funniest jokes, and when it burns with rage, the Book extinguishes it. The book is a fitness center, it builds your soul, spirit and even your body. The Book is powerful enough to give words life, it makes requests become orders. The book is a fertile ground on which gold is grown, and at that time all my questions were answered. Why carry heavy bags of gold that can be stolen, lost or run out, when I can have the secrets of growing gold on a land so blessed and fertile. Finally I was ready for the journey.
