Dear Diary; #INjustice

1073 Words
Where is the truth? It's all buried in the lie. What is right? Only what is acceptable at the time, so many have have lost their way because every corner is a wrong turn when you are surrounded by men of deception and deceit. Justice has become a tale on little children's lips, a shadow of nothing. What is justice? It is only what you make of it and not what it has been taught to be. Injustice lives a whole lot freely while justice found no place of rest. Injustice wines and dines with the great, while justice starves to death without even the crumbs from the servant's table to give taste to her tongue. Where did it all go? equality and fairness among men. The kings have made their subjects the ground on which they walk, parents stealing the rights of their children, the strong prey on the weak for sports, everyone greedy for gain but selfish to give. I searched, I went to the ends of the earth and back, I climbed to the Heavens and down under, I sought the one that would remind me what justice stands for, but everyone seem to stand for what is most beneficial to Him, regardless of who they would be standing on. It is written, justice is the Lord's, and He judges in fairness and equity. When o Lord will you show me this way that I do not know? I have been told of a path on which all tread with thought and consideration for his neighbor, for the achievement of a much greater goal, but this path remains a mystery to me because I see no one treading on it. Has it all just been tales to misguide the minds of men to believe in an illusion, when in the real world the opposite is what is seen? I searched, I searched, I called out to the deep hoping to get an answer from justice, I walked in the fire hoping to find justice walking alongside, but each time all I am met with is mind blowing injustice. Hmmn, maybe it is called injustice for that very reason, we all live ‘in' it, some live by it, many live for it, but no one cares who it affects. Justice, where the rich and the poor have equal rights, where the law operates justly for the great and the small. To live IN justice we have to shove aside injustice, to live IN justice we have to be our brothers keepers, for it is only when you care about your neighbor enough to want the best for him as you do yourself, that you truly understand what it means to live IN justice, without letting injustice confuse you. Living IN justice is far from having injustice as your way of life. I looked all around for who would stand IN justice, truly I was disappointed everytime because all would rather see injustice prevail against all odds. I sought her among close and far family, but they all understood injustice rather than living IN justice. I sought her among kings and leaders, among the great and the mighty, but their grandeur and authority only came from spreading injustice rather than living IN justice. I thought, definitely I would find her among the weak and the oppressed, but they themselves made injustice their warrior to fight their cause, instead of making living IN justice their fort. I was certain, among the shepherds, the keepers of truth and uprightness, I would find an answer to my troubled mind. If only I had known that among these I would only find more confusion, because in them lives the greatest injustice, for they don't even remember what it means to live IN justice. They deceive their sheep with pleasant melodies of greener pastures, with abundance of water and great comforts and pleasures, only to take from them their fleece for their own raiment, and eat up their flesh to fill their own bellies with good, after which the sell off what is left to fill their pockets with gold to satisfy the coolness of their eyes leaving the sheep n***d, cold, hungry and desolate. The shepherds have plundered their sheep, they prophesy lies and lie in wait for their unsuspecting sheep to despoil them. Oh how the world has lost its bearing, they take the wrong turn hoping to arrive at the right destination. Oh how the world has lost its footing, they stumble on even their shadows. I rejoiced, with the hope that the rich would spend justice as a currency, but they derived greater pleasure in injustice than living IN justice. The poor were not any better, making injustice a bank to deposit and make withdraws, for fear that living IN justice would only cause them to starve. O Lord, the God of justice and truth, who fights the cause of the weak and satisfies the hunger of the poor, it is you who upholds the oppressed and you deliver the captives of the mighty from their captors. In you do I trust so to you do I call, my Father, my defense and my fortress, my Dad, the only one to whom I can run, for all have proven false and incapable. Speak for my cause and grant me justice in a world that has denied me of every form of justice, deliver me from the oppression of the oppressor. Save me from injustice that has robbed me of my rights and denied me from living IN justice. You who are the judge over all that lives and breathe, how long will you withhold your judgements of truth and fairness? how much longer must you behold the injustice of man against his fellow man? Reward each according to his deeds, lead me on the right path of justice lest I get lost taking the wrong turn that leads to injustice. Help me to consider the plight of the poor and stretch out a hand of support to the weak and downtrodden. I chose to live IN justice regardless of all I see pointing me to a life of injustice. Let the Heavens bear witness and let the earth dance to my tune, for I am set apart to correct the lies with your truth, and showcase the blessedness in living IN justice, rather than living a life of injustice, so help me God.
