CHAPTER ONE WHO IS CROCK?
Who is Crock ?
```
Grock was not like the other cavemen. He had a curious mind and a restless spirit. He always wanted to explore new places, learn new things, and invent new tools. He was not satisfied with the simple life of hunting, gathering, and sleeping in a cave. He wanted more.
Grock was also different in appearance. His face was not as flat and hairy as the other members of his clan. His eyes were bright and expressive, his nose was sharp and straight, and his lips were thin and smooth. He had a strong jaw and a high forehead, which gave him a handsome look. His hair was long and dark, and he tied it in a ponytail behind his head. He was taller and leaner than the other cavemen, and he moved with grace and agility.
Grock was born in the year 3, according to the clan's calendar. The clan counted the years by carving notches on a large bone that hung from the entrance of their cave. The bone had been there since the clan's founder, Ugg, had killed a mammoth and brought it back to the cave. Ugg was Grock's great-great-grandfather, and Grock admired him for his bravery and strength. Ugg had also taught the clan how to make fire, which was their most precious possessioparents were Grog and Grug, the leaders of the clan. They were respected and feared by the other cavemen, for they were strong and fierce. They had many children,
But Grock had other plans. He did not want to be the leader of the clan. He did not want to stay in the same cave for the rest of his life. He wanted to see the world, and discover its secrets. He wanted to find out what was beyond the mountains, across the rivers, and over the horizon. He wanted to meet other people, and learn from them. He wanted to have adventures, and make his own mark on history.
Grock's dreams often got him into trouble. He would wander away from the clan, and explore the surrounding lands. He would climb trees, swim in lakes, and chase animals. He would collect rocks, shells, and feathers, and make them into ornaments. He would draw pictures on the walls of the cave, depicting the things he had seen and imagined. He would also make tools and weapons, using sticks, stones, and bones. He would experiment with different shapes, sizes, and functions, and try to improve them.
The other cavemen did not understand Grock. They thought he was strange and foolish. They mocked him for his appearance and his behavior. They called him names, and threw stones at him. They tried to stop him from doing the things he loved, and force him to conform to their ways. They wanted him to be like them, dull and boring.
Grock did not care. He ignored them, and continued to follow his heart. He knew he was different, and he was proud of it. He knew he had a gift, and he wanted to use it. He knew he had a destiny, and he wanted to fulfill it. He knew he was Grock, and he was happy.
