Raya tried to retain her balance as she staggered wearily to the kitchen. Something just wasn't right. How could suddenly feel like something was steadily piercing her chest just after talking to Lukas? She took out a cup from the drawer underneath the kitchen sink turned the tap on.
She gulped down the water, trying to quench the pain. But it didn't work.
“Ughh!” Raya exclaimed. She clutched her chest. She staggered, knocking over almost everything her hands touched. A memory of her hugging Lukas flashed through her mind. Was that the reason for the pain? Because she hugged Lukas? Why was this happening, now?
She fell to the ground, her whole body went numb. Raya slowly shut her eyes, as she felt the tension in her chest ease off.
