Chapter 13Despite there being only nine more shopping days until Christmas, Thursday was slow. Well, slower than Micah would expect this close to the end times, but he wasn’t concerned. They’d been run off their feet the night before—maybe an ad somewhere had reminded the world that time was running out, but after a flurry of shopping, the world had given up. “What is up with you?” Rebekkah asked from her position at the break room table, feet propped on a chair.
