Chapter 14Life was good. Thursday night had been amazing. Micah was amazing. And then Friday morning had brought great news: a job offer. He maybe should have hesitated a bit longer before accepting, play hard to get or at least pretend to think about it, but he hadn’t. He had a job. The weight from the past months lifted off his shoulders like a bird taking flight, and he could breathe.
Plus, he was seeing Micah again tonight. Which, considering how intense the past week had been, shouldn’t have still made him giddy and horny in equal measure, but it did. And now he had something to celebrate, even if Micah didn’t know what the celebration was for or that there was one.
