Jackson
Everyone was shaken up yesterday. The warriors found Patrick and Claire, but some of the attackers got away. Patrick felt awful he failed but everyone was ok. They had definitely been after Thea.
She had said someone was watching her, and obviously more alphas wanted her than those that bothered to go through the appropriate channels. I really needed her to find her mate. Oliver said things had been much better for Iris when they were marked and mated. The attacks on his pack had stopped.
Oliver had planned a party next weekend, he said Luke would be coming so I knew I could pick his brains about Thea. He had protected her and Scarlett for so long he would know what to do. He also was meeting alpha Mathew this week. He was the most elusive of the alpha’s over there, he hadn’t appeared to take any part in the war we had just won but I didn’t trust anyone.
I groaned in frustration, why couldn’t we just get a break. I didn’t want to encourage the idea of her being someone chosen luna but maybe it was the safest thing for her.
Luke
Marty suggested we make the warrior gathering a more frequent thing, as it had definitely boosted moral amount them.
More wolves had expressed and interest in training and so Marty had had to get some of the better warriors to start training classes for them.
Oliver’s warriors were starting to miss home. Some had mates there, I said we would return for Oliver’s party and then they shouldn’t need to return with me. We were meeting alpha Mathew this week so all being well I might have an ally close by.
A few days later we drove into New Dawn. Smaller than Paradise this pack was in better shape. The warriors had been briefed to expect anything. I was pleasantly surprised when he met me at the gates.
First of all I was struck by the similarities between us, I wasn’t aware we were related but I had to admit the history of these packs was very complicated.
“Alpha Luke.” He acknowledged me, which was a good start. “Shall we walk ?” It wasn’t really a question so I indulged him by exiting the car. Marty went to follow. “It’s ok your warriors can meet us at the packhouse.” Marty looked at me for confirmation and I nodded.
I didn’t trust this alpha yet but I could see the packhouse from here.
“So you have come to secure my allegiance? Tell me Luke why should I ally myself with you and anger my closest and largest neighbour in paradise.” Matthew was straight to the point.
“That’s your choice alpha Mathew. I’m afraid I can’t or won’t make an allegiance with Paradise, my friends have suffered too much at the hands of that pack. Furthermore, I refuse to do business with a pack that runs as it does. I’m sure you are aware of it’s… shortcomings?”
His silence spoke volumes so I continued. “I don’t believe that another pack should have any day in how a pack is run, providing it is fair and just.” I stopped forcing Mathew to look at me.
“Spoken very bravely for an unmated alpha that’s five minutes at the helm.” He relied quietly.
Noting his lack of mark. “You are unmated yourself, do I need to be worried about you?” Mathews jaw ticked like I had hit a nerve. “I’m unmated by choice and that’s none of your business.” I held my hands up in protest.
“In fact it is, half the problems I have faced recently have been alpha wishing to take a mate that was not meant for them, through force if necessary. Also at some point you will be expected to provide a luna and heir, that is inevitable.”
Mathew calmed slightly. He sighed.”I am aware of the expectations, however having lived in this side of the family for longer than you I have the sense not to fall in love. I guess you aren’t aware of the prophecy?
“What prophecy ?”
“I thought not, there is a prophecy about the black wolves I suggest you check it out. I have never made sense of it.”
I tried not to scoff, I didn’t believe in prophecies.
“Here lies my predicament, Paradise has not bothered my pack, due to its … close relationship with Eclipse. Which is now in tatters, so I find you both reaching out to me, I worry either of you may threaten my peace.”
“I appreciate the honestly, I have no problem with you or your pack providing you are fair and just. I don’t trust Edward and it would be good to know I had an ally in New Dawn if needed in the future, but I won’t make you choose. Eclipse has other friends that will support us if needed.”
“Yes the mighty Blue Moon and Silver Oak, tell me how are the faring looking after their silver wolves.” I was momentarily confused, wolves, surely he meant Iris but I wasn’t giving anything away.
“They are faring well, now both alpha heirs are marked and mated, the future of bright for both packs.” I chose my words carefully.
“I think I like you Luke, loyalty is definitely something in short supply here. Come let’s eat and we can continue our conversation later.”
We departed later that day, I hadn’t learnt much more about Mathew other than he was interested in an allegiance but he didn’t want involved in a war. I had a feeling I could count on him but he didn’t want to anger Paradise. While Edward was certainly not the strongest alpha he had the largest pack by far, not helped by some of Eclipses warriors moving there when I became alpha.
By the time we got home training was finished but Marty already had organised another gathering. This one was busier than last week and I found myself outside in the garden trying to work through the information I got today.
The rose bushes in the garden reminded me of Silver Oak. Luna Rose had planted an abundance, even in Jackson’s secret hideout from Thea, which she totally knew about. It was such a tranquil place I found myself pining for my old life.
As I sunk another beer I knew I should go inside and be a bit more sociable, but I just couldn’t summon the energy to go.
“This is where you are hiding” Sophia’s voice popped out from behind me.
“I’m not hiding I was just thinking.” I replied downing another beer from the box at my feet and passing one her way.
“Well you shouldn’t drink alone, people will talk.” She raised an eyebrow and took a drink of her beer.
“Did today go well.” She asked. I wasn’t going to share any details with her so I simply shrugged. “Oh the big brooding alpha didn’t get his way. Do you need cheering up?”
Was she flirting with me? I didn’t reply but studied her face, I could see she was nervous and she started to chew on her lip, which was enticingly cute. No I was not doing this. I signed working out how to let her down gently when she moved closer and I felt her lips graze mine.
I flashed back to my most treasured memory, a stolen kiss from the girl I was hopelessly in love with. The taste of roses in her mouth as she parted her lips to allow my tongue access to her. Her hands snaking around my neck pulling my body closer to her. The moment where I never wanted it to stop before I did. Looking into her beautiful brown eyes and telling her this could never happen. My heart breaking as she stood tall, cheeks flushed, breasts heaving and pretended nothing had happened.
I shook the image from my head. I needed to forget her. Grasping Sophia’s head I pulled her lips towards me and kissed her hungrily.
Her hands roamed my body and before I knew it we were in my bed. Her clothes were scattered around the home in my haste to remove them. I could smell her arousal already and it didn’t take me long to have her writhing in ecstasy from my fingers alone.
She gasped in delight as I fingered her, stretching her for my c***. I felt her walls clench around my fingers and once her p**** was dripping with her juices I lined myself up and entered her, kissing her gasps as I stared to pump into to her sweetly tight p****.
As I quickly sent her over the edge I didn’t stop as I started to come closer to release. A face swan before my eyes as I pulled out and came all over her small pert breasts.
As I looked down at her face, her eyes drunk with delight I saw blood on my c***. S*** she was a virgin. I groaned and lay back down beside her. I couldn’t kick her out of my bed now. As she cuddled up beside me I knew I wouldn’t be sleeping tonight.
I was kicking myself, now I had a problem. Consoling myself that she could turn out to be my mate I tried to roll her over off my chest so I could try and sleep.
