I was researching the pack Jackson had asked me about. I could tell form his voice he was on the verge of losing it. It was late but his phone had rung out when I finally had something to call him about.
On paper everything checked out. If I was honest a little too perfectly, but when I was researching the pack more details came to light about Sapphire Lake and Black Diamond.
We knew Black Diamond had a reputation for shady dealings but I hadn’t heard anything about the trafficking that they were accused of.
I couldn’t believe that the council would leave this, they liked to interfere at the best of time so there was no way they would ignore this surely.
It made me think that, some of this was fabricated.
