REJECTION

Aurora’s pov

The protectors test was done and we made the cut. By we, I mean Leila and me. Now we are getting ready for the swearing-in ceremony which Xavier will conduct and then we will be assigned to our stations in different packs. It was always Leila’s dream to be a protector to the black blood pack and she got it because her mate was from there. I am so happy for her. I hope I will be assigned to Trent’s pack so that I can be with the man I love.

Yes, we confessed our love for each other and we have been together since he came to this event. I can’t take my eyes off him. Well, I also found out Xavier had a chosen mate and she was an alpha’s daughter and she was a b***h and a snake. Savannah is her name. She was Evon’s true mate and when she found out she rejected him at one of the dinners in front of all the alphas present, Evon accepted the rejection gladly, but he was so embarrassed, but Luna was great because the next day Savannah’s sister came to participate in the protector test and after she finished she bumped into Evon and they were each others second chance mate.

It was a beautiful day. They mated and marked each other the same day, Thomas is mated to Elena too and she became luna of the red wolf pack one of the beautiful nights before tonight. Damien and Leila also mated and marked each other and I think Catia (Leila’s wolf) is hiding something. Devon told me that they are pregnant with a litter of four pups. I am so excited I can’t wait for her to find out. She will be overwhelmed. I am still waiting for Xavier’s rejection because I have a feeling it’s coming and I can’t wait to accept it with pride.

We are all in the ball room waiting for Xavier to begin his speech so that we can party ‘till morning. “ I would like to call upon Aurora to come forward please,” he says with a sly smirk. Wait, he wants to reject me in front of everybody? "Listen, love, we will be just fine. We have Trent and D to love us and that piece of s**t and his f*****g wolf are not worth our hearts. Let’s show them who we are after we accept the rejection." "I agree, Devon, they are not worth anything. They will bow before us. Just wait and see."

“Thank you Aurora. Now I would like to reject this worthless woman in front of all of you so that all the women will stop throwing themselves at me. I have already chosen a mate and that is Savannah Dust. My love, come forward too.” That son of a b***h wants to humiliate me. Fine, let’s play.

“I alpha, Xavier Blackman, reject you Aurora, as my true mate and supreme luna because you are a worthless piece of shit.” He says with a smug smirk and I hear gasps and pity murmurs and a growl from Trent and I smile that’s all I needed the push from my possessive alpha. “ I Aurora Camille White daughter to the late alpha Zain White and luna Morgan White accept your rejection as your true mate and supreme luna.” I finish with a smug look and a smile gracing my lips and gasps are heard around the ballroom.

His eyes bulged out after absorbing what I had just said. Yes, bastard, I am from the white wolf clan, we are like the royals of the werewolf species, but do I say? I smirk and release my aura and it chokes them and everybody kneels down. I made sure to suffocate Xavier a bit. The look on his face is historical and legendary, I reign in my aura and laugh my ass out. “ Thank you so much Xavier and Amir for that now I can finally be with the man I actually want and love. Savannah all the best at your wedding. I wish I could attend but I will be busy being a protector and kicking ass,” I said as I walked away from the stage.

Yes, Xavier feels the pain, that is for being a man w***e and underestimating me. I smiled as I saw my cousin and Elena, who were still shocked by the revelation, and we went out for a walk. Soon we are joined by Leila, Damien, Trent, Evon and Lara. Trent wraps his hand around my waist and I lean onto him. Devon is content with this and I am happy to be with my new family. We reach a lake and we sit down soaking in the moon's rays. “ I still can’t believe my brother did that, I am ashamed of even calling him that. I am glad I am not going back to that pack. Thank you Luna for Thomas.” Elena said with tears in her eyes.

Everybody turned to look at me with a worried expression except Trent, who was looking at me with loving eyes. “ Guys, I am okay and sorry I didn’t tell you about my heritage only my family knew and Devon swore them to secrecy.” I said, “ Wait, who is Devon because only an ancient can do that and they are kinda myths.” Lara asks thoughtful, “ Devon is my wolf and yes he is male and an ancient which means you four are going to be sworn to secrecy too because nobody can find out. Not until I wipe out the gold worth pack.”

I tell them, looking all serious, they look at me shocked and nod their heads, which irks Devon, so he comes forward and takes over, "You will not tell anyone of my identity. You are sworn to secrecy and to protect the ancient wolf and his human. Now I bind you by blood.’ He finishes as he slits his hands and the rest slits theirs as they hold his hands in turns and we are bonded to them automatically. It’s like a small pack and we can link to each other no matter how far we are, because it’s like a family bond.

“ Oh who are the newcomers on team ancient,” Aunt Terry is so happy she gets to talk to more people. “Well, it's Trent, Damien, Elena and Lara.” I tell her through the link where everyone hears us and my aunt shrieks, making us cover our ears. “ You will make us deaf woman!” Uncle Tim says and we all laugh loving their banter, they are like an old married couple which is true they are an old married couple.

“So can we see your wolf?” Damien asks. “ Not in his full glory, because we are like a beacon for supernatural creatures and his aura will attract every wild animal in the world and I kinda don’t want to be known for now.” I tell them, but I shift into our small form which apparently is growing, now I’m the size of a full grown horse.

They all gasped and I shifted back quickly, “What just happened?” I asked them. “ You grew twice the size and you are as big as an alpha.”Thomas says, still shocked. “How is that even possible!” I asked, shocked. "Come down Aurora, it’s because we shared our secret with more people and apparently their wolves have also grown in size. This is so they can protect you and fight along with you." I looked at everybody’s shocked gazes, they all heard and some were smiling and some were in tears, to be chosen and blessed by an ancient. It is rare and also a myth, but it just happened. We are all overwhelmed with emotions and we all decide to retire to bed, so we walked back to our rooms to have a good night's sleep.

Xavier’s pov

I can’t believe it, I just rejected the most powerful wolf that ever lived and the sole heir to the werewolf kingdom. Why was I so stupid? Why Amir. We were so blinded by power that we couldn’t see past her facade. We’ve lost the only woman who could match our strength and vigor. “ Babe, let’s go to bed and rest, then tomorrow we can start planning our wedding and mating.” Savannah says, now her voice is just as ugly as her face and heart.

Why didn’t I listen to my parents and Savannah’s father? My parents will be so disappointed, especially mom. I collected myself and walked away towards my room. Savannah following, I turned and looked her in the eye ,”go to your room. I am not in the mood to handle your drama now, actually I might kill you in my sleep. Amir sees you as a blocking stone between him and his mate, so watch how you handle me. From now on, you are just another slut on my long list.” I entered my room and slammed the door in her face.

Savannah’s pov

This can’t be happening, he just slammed the door in my face! He did this, he chose me, then he left me. No, I don’t think so. He will marry and mate me whether he likes it or not, ‘ Let’s go back to our mate please, I know he is not what we wanted. But at least we won’t be alone’. I nodded to my wolf and walked to Evon’s room. I entered without knocking and I was shocked by what I saw. My own sister on top of my mate f*****g, I growl, “What is happening here! You are not even shocked. I found out you w*****g b***h get off my mate!” I screamed every word with venom.

They just look at me like I lost it and that’s when I see it. The marks on their necks, they are mated. “ After you rejected and embarrassed me, the moon goddess blessed me with my second chance mate. She is everything I ever wanted and beautiful inside and out. I love Lara with everything I have. I would love it if you refrained yourself from spewing bullshit about my mate and if I hear any nasty rumor about her you will have to run and pray I won’t catch you.” Evon says in a deathly calm tone. I gasped and ran out of their room.

What now? I can’t lose everything in one night, no. I will stick to Xavier. He promised me he would fulfill it by force, whether dead or alive. My stupid wolf is whimpering. I know Xavier saw my sister fight rouges that day, but I couldn’t let her become the supreme luna. She didn’t deserve it! So I took her place and met Xavier and she was not even mad because she always wanted her true mate, who, by the way, rejected her. What I didn’t expect was her and my mate to be second-chance mates. All I have now is Xavier and he will be mine even if his own mate doesn’t want him. I wonder how I can use that to my advantage.

I thought of my plan through the night and my wolf was in it too, so I went to Xavier’s room to play the ‘let’s get your mate back by making her jealous’ card. I just hope it works. I mean no she wolf would want to see her mate with another she wolf. In the mean time, I will get what I want and take it all. “What are you doing in my room slut,”, he says so venomously, making me flinch. “ I have a plan to make your mate come back to you, just sit and listen. Please, it will be worth your time.” I said and saw a glint of hope in his eyes, “ out with it, now!” “ Okay, let’s make your mate jealous enough so that she can come back to fight for your love.” I said with a smile.

“ What makes you think that will make her jealous, even after I displayed sluts in front of her she was never jealous.” He says disappointed. “ We have to make it look binding so we have to get married and invite her to the wedding.” He growls viciously and he is half shifted, I get scared because this is Amir and I hate that wolf. “ I will never bind myself to you you b***h! Get out before I separate your head from that disfigured body.” I scrambled and ran out of there. I ran towards the woods and towards my father’s territory. I can’t be near all those people. It’s so painful. I have to come up with a plan to hurt everybody that hurt me, especially Xavier.

He will be mine whether he likes it or not. I promise you, Xavier, nobody will have you by hook or by crook!
