It was a hectic Monday morning as she woke up late for work, no thanks to Becca. “I really need to stop following her to every goddamn nightclub in Queens.
She quickly got ready and boarded a taxi to work, clocking in twenty minutes late.
She was about to walk in to her stand when her boss walked in on her
“Nia you are late” she said with a sneer
“Am so sorry ma'am, it will never happen again I promise you”
“Oh I am sure it won't, cause the next time you will be on the other side of the building. My office now!”
She walked in.
“Take this files and go the office of the CEO, his P.A is expecting you”
She took the files asked around and was shown his office. She readjusted her clothing and knocked.
A familiar face she had seen somewhere led her inside but she was more confused when she saw “expensive suit guy” seated in the CEOs chair.
Oh good lord, what has she done now.
“ Good morning,she managed to say “Miss Irene wanted me to get this file here”.
“That would be all Gregory,” Christopher said.
“ But sir we…”
“ I said that would be all for now “
“Alright sir”
He walked past her and gave her a scowl then walked out. Nia on the other hand had realized that the guy she mistook for an employee was actually the CEO. But why didn't he say anything earlier? Was he going to have her sacked? She just got the job for Christ sakes. All these thoughts and many more were going through her head when he beckoned on her to sit down.
“Thank you sir”.she replied and sat down
“I just wanted to say," I'm so sorry please don't sack me. " I didn't know you were the CEO, I thought..”
“Do you always talk this much” he interrupted her
“Excuse me sir?”
“I said, do you always talk this much?
“ No sir”
“ Good. Now tell me about yourself”
“ My name is Nia Williams, I am from Johannesburg, South Africa but my parents immigrated here about 15 years ago. I studied communication at Manhattan university. Am smart and articulate and fluent in both English and French languages.
“ Is that so.”
He looked at her, he couldn't lie she was very beautiful, and curvy. There was just something about her beauty she wasn't skinny, but oh boy she looked good, he couldn't lie. “Christopher, get it together” he told himself.
“ Do you have the files I asked for?”
“ Here they are”.
“ You can go”
“ Sir once again I just wanted to…”
“ I said that would be all miss Nia, have a good day”
Why was he so mean suddenly, one moment he is charming and the next he is something else.
She left the office with a mixture of different feelings, arrived back at her desk and continued thinking about what had just happened, oh Becca was in for a treat when she closed.
Activities were busy at the company, and Christopher was in the heart of it all, he passed her a couple times and didn't even see her.
The time was finally 5 and she could leave. Before then she ran a couple of errands for miss Irene and that was it.
She left the office heading to Becca's place, she had a whole lot to tell her. But why isn't she picking up though, her calls keep heading to voicemail. She arrived at her apartment and was about to go in when she heard Loud moans coming from inside. “ Oh, baby.. yes…. Harder harder.. more soft moans and then silence.
She just couldn't stand Becca now.
She left and headed home and went to meet her parents in the restaurant.
“Hey baby, how was work”?her mother asked.
“Twas alright mum”
“You're home early”, is "Becca not in town”?
“She is mum, I went over there and she and her boyfriend were at it again”
“ Like fighting”?
“ No mum, they were screwing each other.”
“ Oh," her mother said laughing.
“Anyways, where's dad?”
“ He went to the grocery store to get a couple items, he will be back shortly.
“ Okay mum am going home to rest, it's been a long day and am beat”
“Alright honey, I will see you shortly for dinner okay, come grab a bite before you go”.
She got home and settled in, dialed Becca and she answered.
“ Hey girl where are you at?”
“ Erhm, at home I was busy, sorry I saw all your voice messages”.
“ Yea busy getting laid”
Becca laughed.
“ Wait, how did you know that? did you come to the house”?
“Becca just get yourself over here okay, you wouldn't believe what happened to me today”.
“ Alright Tiger am on my way”.
Becca arrived an hour later and Nia narrated the whole incident at work to her.
“Oh girl you say what” Becca asked in shock
“Yea, I Ve never been more embarrassed in my life”.
“ Okay girl but you said he was that fine? So it's true, do you know if he is single single as well”?
“ Girl what is your problem, didn't you hear a word of what I said? What if he decides to sack me?”
“ Girl relax ain't nobody getting sacked”, so back to my question is he single as they say? Or what?
“ First of all, I can assure you my friend, no offense but you aren't his type and ….
She was cut short by the beep on her phone. She opened the message and get mouth dropped open.
“ Girl what is it?”
“Christopher wants to see me first thing tomorrow morning,I told you I was getting sacked.
