Emera made it back to the truck with Grant tailing along in his wolf form. She could tell he was pissed that she was blocking his ability to change back. She didn't care though she was just as mad at him. She quietly opened the back door and made him get in. He obeyed and laid down on the seat with his head on his paws and whined.
"Zip it!" she snapped when she got into the front seat. Grant stopped the whining and moved his eyes to gaze out the window he knew there was no convincing her otherwise. He had totally over reacted and screwed up big time. He would be lucky if she didn't stuff him when they got home.
She flipped the car around and was pulling up in front of the store to get Leanna when she remembered the 'neighbors' truck was parked in front of the hardware store. She looked around just in time to notice a tall man with shaggy dark brown hair walking into the grocery store.
"Darn it!" she huffed and caused Grant to c**k his head to the side intrigued by his alphas behavior. 'Would she ever get to see his face?' she wondered. Grant laid his head back down when the alpha didn't say anything else. She and Grant sat in a suffocating silence and waited for Leanna to come out.

"Hey there," Alex put on his charm and walked up to the meat counter behind Leanna. She jumped and let out a small yelp, almost losing her balance and dropped the huge pack of bacon she had been holding. "Sorry about that," he reached down and picked it up for her.
"Thank you," she said as he was standing up and reached out her hands to take the bacon. Her eyes looked up as him and she almost dropped the package again. 'WOW', she mouthed as she took him in. He was absolutely gorgeous. His bright crystal blue eyes glistened behind dark eyelashes as he smiled at her. The color was unlike anything she had ever seen before. He was tall and had shaggy dark brown hair and two very adorable dimples that graced his tan skin. He let out a warm chuckle as he watched her study him. He could have sworn he heard her purr at him.
"Hello beauti.... Umm Hey, no worries I’m a bit of a klutz sometimes," she saved herself. He thought that it was quite entertaining and grinned at her. The butcher walked out from the back of the counter with a big white box and handed it to her.
"Thanks Al," Leanna sat the box in the basket.
"Tell Emera that it’s no charge this time," Al winked at the girl and walked into the back again. 'Emera? I wonder if that is her name?' Alex thought and grinned again.
"So," he continued his mission, "I'm Alex. What’s your name?" She just stared at him. "Normally its polite to respond with your name when asked," he joked and couldn't help but chuckle.
"Oh yeah, sorry. Umm my name is Leanna," she stammered.
"It’s nice to meet you Leanna,” he smiled at her and held out his hand.
She took it hesitantly, "Nice to meet you," she giggled and could feel her whole body turn red with a blush.
HONK! HONK!
"I have got to go, but it was nice meeting you Alex, maybe we will meet again sometime," she wished.
"We will most defiantly be meeting again." he smiled and walked off toward the aisle with the coffee in it. If he hurried, he might be able to catch a glimpse of the beautiful blond again. He walked up behind Leanna just as she was finishing paying for her items.
"Have a great afternoon," he exclaimed as she was walking out the door.
"You too," she giggled. He quickly payed for his coffee and headed out of the store to catch a glimpse of the women before she drove away. He noticed Leanna getting into a big black truck, 'that is the same one that passed by me this morning,' he grinned to himself.
"Finally!" Emera exclaimed when she saw Leanna walking out of the store. She noticed the goofy grin on the girls face and knew something had happened. When she got into the truck the alpha could hear the speedy heartbeat of the girl. "What’s up with you?" she asked as the girl tossed the groceries into the back seat with Grant. She had peered around the girl and looked out the window. "Holy..." her jaw fell open and she was at a loss of words. Leanna looked out the window too and noticed what had caught the alphas eye.
"I know right,” the girl squealed in excitement. Grant let out a huff and shook his head.
When he noticed both of the women starring at him from the truck he decided to go introduce himself before she had a chance to drive away. Subtleness and patients were not really his strong suit, and he hated the idea of waiting for another opportunity. He put on his 'knock them dead' grin and waved as he jogged over to the truck. Rasping on the window he chuckled. The girls in the truck were gawking at him. He was used to getting attention but the fact that they had yet to roll down the window was new.
"Hey alpha, you should probably roll down the window. I don’t think that he is going away." Leanna giggled and received a nod from her.
Emera rolled down the window and was face to face with the most breathtakingly handsome guy she had ever seen.
"Hey," he smiled at her.
"He...Ha... Hello," she stammered.
"I'm Alex!" he smiled and stuck his hand in the window. A throaty growl came from the back seat and he looked over just in time to see large white teeth and brown eyes lunging at him. He pulled his hand back and stumbled.
Emera grabbed the wolf by the scruff of the neck and threw him back into the back seat. Looking back at him she glared at him and for a split second her eyes began glow. When he righted himself, he glanced back at the truck and could have sworn he saw her eyes glowing.
"I guess he isn’t too keen on strangers, “she blushed, "Sorry about that, I should really get him neutered." she glared back at the wolf who was still silently growling at Alex. Leanna let out a giggle from her seat and the wolf huffed at her.
"I'm Emera, it’s nice to meet you Alex," she stuck her hand out the window for him to shake. He took her hand and as soon as their skin made contact a tingling sensation swept through her body followed by an electric shock. She jumped and pulled her hand away, Grant snarled from the back seat, she turned and snarled back at the wolf. "I'll be seeing you around," she smiled at him and decided it was time to go home before Grant decided to eat the poor man. She rolled up the window and sped off down the road before he could say anything else.
"That was strange," Alex stammered to himself, well he shook out his hand, deciding to get home too.
