***ALENA’S P.O.V*** I was doing my work when the door opened and came the one and only charmer who has all my heart, not just now but from the day I had known him. “So what’s going on?” He asked as he sat in front of me. Being COO of such a big company is not easy and when your crush is the CEO of the company as well as your best friend. “Nothing much, just struggling with this stuff,” I said as I looked at the designs. Sometimes I just love doing all this, but sometimes I just hate it. I mean, why do I have to do this? “Ohh my dearest, ordinary, don’t be so mean. I know that you are irritated, but remember this is what you love the most. It is only this that’s why you got this position, my dear.” He said, then started to look around. I wish that I could tell him that sometimes what bothers me the most and that is just nothing else, it’s just that I don’t like it. Sometimes he is with someone else. It’s just like I got frustrated actually. I looked at him, then I started to do my work again. “Hey wait, who did this, it’s amazing.” He said looking at the design and it’s actually amazing “The new intern.” “I can’t believe this called her here.” I called her inside. She went, being afraid of what to say and what not to. “Good morning mom, good morning sir.” She said. Liam looked at me and then at her. He took her designs from the table and then went to her “So is this your work?” He asked her. “Yes sir.” She said, being scared of God, I just card believe this at all he is such a good actor “How can you do this kind of stuff for my firm?” he said. I wanted to laugh so hard but I just controlled myself. I didn’t want to laugh at that moment. “Sorry sir, I will try again, sir, I am sorry.” She said as she got scared," now I should stop this here only. “Liam, please now stop.” I said. She was about to cry. “Common Alena, relax. Don’t cry. I was just kidding. These are the best designs that I have seen on this table. Alena used to make these sort of designs and now I like that a lot. I mean I am just shocked to see that, at all.” He said and went to her. He just hugged her. God? What is it? What? I can’t. I have to calm myself down. “Yes it’s just fabulous. I was impressed to see all this.” I said jealous, though I got a bit jealous, I mean I got. I just don’t know why, but I just got a bit jealous, which was just not good. She had actually done a great “So as for your reward, I want you to come with us for today’s party.” I thought that we were going there together, but he is taking her with him. “Thanks sir.” And then she left. I got irritated by it. I went to my desk and then started to do my work again. “What happened, Alena, is there something wrong?” He asked if it was better if I just stayed quiet. “Alena, tell me if there is anything that I did wrong? Tell me.” I got a few tears in my eyes. “Hey, what happened? Look at me. Let me tell me what it is.” He asked, looking at me. I looked at him and then said, “It’s nothing Liam. I want to go home, excuse me,” I said, and then got up from the chair and then left. I don’t have any idea why, not even for once, he considered me to come with him. I was the one who did it all and just a simple design changed everything. How could he be like that? I came back to my house and then lay down on the bed. I just have to calm myself at any cost. I can’t act like a crying baby. I was lying down on my bed when I heard a knock. KNOCK I got up and then went there. I saw Chris there. My brother. He was holding a tub of ice cream in his hand. “Can I come inside?” He just said that and then went inside. What the hell is this? “What I didn’t even allow you to come in.” He gave me the" I don’t care look" “Just come and sit over here,” he said. I looked at him with anger and then looked at him. “What? Tell me,” I asked him. He offered me the ice cream tub. “What happened to you? tell me?” He asked me. “Nothing, I am right.” “I am your brother Alena. Dad and mom left us and told us to take care of each other so I am doing that only.” I got a bit of tears in my eyes only he wiped it. “Now tell me it is Liam.” I nodded at him. “Yes actually, he, umm, you remember I was working for the whole day on a project which got selected and our company got invited to his party. It was me and him to go, but he just took someone else who just did a bit of design.” I told him. He smiled at me. “So is this the only reason? If that is it, then I have someone who will take you there, and for the reason that you are not telling me Liam, it would be better if you would confess it to him or let him go.” I widened my eyes. What he was saying. What does he mean by “Listen, I am not in love with him.” I said I am not and that is the truth and I know that it’s the only truth that’s it. “I never said love, by the way, get ready sooner if you want to go there.” Chris said and then left my room. Yes, I want to go there. I also deserve to be there. I got up from my bed and then got ready. It’s not tough for Chris to do it all. He is a business tycoon, so for him it’s easy to get invited to parties like these those but he avoids going there. I looked at myself in the mirror before I went out of my room. I was coming down the stairs when I saw a man in his tuxedo. His back facing me. Who is he. I went down there and then I saw Chris and then, “Meet him Drew, the one who's gonna take you to the party.” Chris said. I looked at him and smiled. He was handsome. Actually breathing taking. I have never seen someone like him. Everyone is just fabulous. “Hi Drew here.” “Hello, I have never seen him. Is he?” I asked Chris. He smiled at me and then said “He is my company’s COO. He will take you there.” “OK.” Then we both went out of the house and made our way to the car. I settled down in a BMW. It’s nice. He looked at me from the rear view mirror and smiled at me. I smiled back at him. The driver took us to the party. He opened the door for me just like a gentle person. I went out of the car and held his hand. “May I?” We both went to the party. I was holding his hand. When I entered, my eyes were just searching for a single person. Where he was I was just searching for him, going inside. When I saw him with her, he was dancing with her. They seemed happy together. I looked at Drew and then smiled at him. “Come, let’s meet him.” He said and took me to one and only Williams. I can’t believe this one of the great business tycoons is even bigger than my brother. It’s all like a dream to see him in reality. “Hello Mr.William.” I said as I saw him. He looked at me and then smiled. “Don’t tell me that I am finally getting the opportunity to meet Alena and have just seen you in pictures.” It’s just a pleasure that he knows me. I am happy because of that. “It’s my pleasure that a person like you knows me.” “Common Alena, you are part of this world just that you, don’t come.” I wanted to have my own identity, so when Chris proposed the idea of helping me with the business I refused it. I wanted it from scratch. “Hello Mr.William.” Liam said as he went with Lily. “Hello my hero, tell me you didn’t tell me who was the mastermind behind it all.” He asked about the designs. I smiled widely because that’s me. “The one and only Lily standing here, she is the one designing it all for you and you won’t believe that she is just an intern.” He said praised her. What the hell is wrong with him? I did that all by myself. I had not been sleeping for days and he was saying all this. God, I just can’t believe this at all. How could something like this happen at all? “That’s great you have a lot of potential in yourself. A nice thing.” Mr.William said, looking at her. It was something that I deserved and she got it all for what I just don’t know. I got tears in my eyes so I made my way to the washroom. I can cry right now.
