Book Three| Dancing With The Defensive End: Chapter 1

1130 Words
Four years earlier John I am so sick and tired of women that just play games. Anymore I feel like that’s all I attract is girls that want to play games. I live at a house that is named the Football house because anyone that lives there is on the football team here at college. I have four teammates I live with in that house. One is Liam is the one getting serious with a great woman. Next is Eric, who is dumb as ape s**t when it comes to an amazing woman that’s been under his nose the whole time. Jimmy recently revealed that he was gay, and then there is me and Mikey, perpetually single as f**k. Unlike Mikey, I want to find a relationship. He is content with playing the field, but I kind of want the dream, a football career, a woman by my side, a house and a couple of kids. I knew Trisha was everyone’s on the football team’s favourite distraction. But I thought she was different when she was with me. She made it seem like we were heading towards something. Nope, it turned out it was just a game. A very cruel and sick game she played and that is why we are in a stupid scandal now. Girls wonder why I have trust issues. Maybe it’s because of these games people play. Eric, I love him like a brother but the girls he goes out with only want sugar daddies. I mean they are beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but they are definitely women who are not going to be with you when times get tough. First sign you are down on your luck, they are kissing your ass goodbye and onto the next chump. The girls he likes are definitely players, if they are not then how come after he is done with them they quickly go to another guy on the team? I wish he would realise those Barbie Dolls only like you for what you may have in your bank account. That’s why I get mad at him, he has Jill, who he doesn’t seem to realise is his perfect match. She is there for him and never expects anything in return. She cheers him on and encourages him. Plus she is a cute girl. No she isn’t like the Latina woman Eric prefers, but she is definitely a great woman. I’m jealous that he has a friend like her that treats him so well. She is perfect for him, only he is a dumbass not to see it. I’m just not in the mood for these damn games anymore. So the last thing I want to do tonight is to get on a stupid party bus with strippers to pick up Liam from the airport. But I have to because we all need to support Liam losing the Heisman. That's what we do on this team. However we let a horny Mikey book a damn party bus with strippers. Great, this is just what I need. “Big John, you ready? The bus will be pulling in any moment now!” Eric yelled from the hallway. I grabbed my wallet off of the dresser and walked out to meet him. “Tell me why Mikey thought this was a great idea?” “I can not answer that. Trust me, I don’t want to be with the strippers either. I already have enough going on with Jill right now.” Eric said. “Well, let’s get this s**t over with.” I told him. “If Olivia gets pissed off, I’m not defending Mikey.” Eric said. “I’m with you on that. It was his ass that booked this damn thing, he can take the brunt of Olivia’s wrath.” I told Eric. “Guys, the bus is here! Time for some fun with the ladies.” Mikey grinned as he came up to us. I looked at Eric and he just shook his head and sighed. Glad I’m not the only one that doesn’t want this stripper party bus. Maybe my boy Eric is finally wising up that he has a great woman. We got loaded onto the bus. And there were three women wearing gold bikinis with the word winner written on themselves. God this is tacky. I admit the one did catch my attention, she has a nice body, I can tell she works out. She is brunette and I think she may be the ringleader of the strippers. ———- Gia Why did we have to get booked for a bunch of college guys? I hate when the clients are the frat boys. They are so handsy and they don’t really tip that well. I’m a stripper, I shouldn’t be choosy, but I can’t help it. The sooner I get out of debt, then maybe I can leave this life behind me. My goal was never to be a stripper. I actually am a trained ballerina. I wanted to dance in the ballet. I went to school, I majored in dance, I should be at least a dancer on Broadway right? Nope, unfortunately I found out the hard way just because you can do ballet, doesn’t mean you get to be in a ballet company. There are plenty of others just like you that have your same dream. Some get to be in the ballet, and others, like me, don’t. Dreams don’t pay your bills or your debts, so what does someone do that majors in dance? Get a dancer job that pays well and will hire you. For me that was stripping. Actually I have thought about opening my own studio. I like teaching dance. But it is the same issue I have now, I need the money to do that. “Oh, these guys are hot.” I heard Carla say. “Don't even think about it. These are college kids, it won’t be like a Pretty Woman moment.” I told her. We always joke that we want to be Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. Only we are not prostitutes. No, our hope is that a rich man wants a dance and he is mesmerised by us. He offers us a deal to stay with him for a week, so he looks good for appearance sake. Realises we are amazing and he wants us forever. Yeah, just like Pretty Woman. I felt someone eyeing me. I looked and saw this huge man. He definitely had a nice body, definitely cute with his hair buzzed. Plus he had nice tight facial hair that I do like. Man, why does he have to be a college kid? Figures a man I find dreamy is nothing but a college kid.
