We were on the plane flying back to Texas. Texas feels more home to me than California. This is important for John, I know. I want him to succeed, even if it means I need to make California my home.
I looked over at him in his seat with Mikey. He had earphones in listening to something. I know his mind is running a thousand things through it for the move to California.
I wish I could have sat next to John on the plane. Truth is I’m lucky I got a seat on the same plane as he did. But we do need to talk, I need him to remind me why I need to move to California.
