Contracted Luna's Revenge

Zoey's POV***** Tomorrow was my wedding day, it was not just any wedding, but I was getting married to the Alpha of my pack. From the first time that I found out that he was my mate, I could not deny the bond that we shared, it was so intense and every moment of my life, I wanted to be with him. Going to bed that night felt very difficult for me, adrenaline rushing through my spine, and the excitement of knowing that from tomorrow I was going to become the Luna of Shadow pack overwhelmed me but sleep was a natural occurrence and after having a glass of wine with my sister Lyra, I finally began to feel dizzy. Although Lyra was my half-sister, the both of us have always been close and she was so happy for me while we laughed and talked about all the benefits that she was going to be enjoying once I became Luna. The next day, I woke up with my head pounding so hard, I recall taking only a glass of wine and yet I was so dizzy that it felt like I had consumed an entire bottle of wine. I turned and tossed around the bed for a while until I finally opened my eyes, and beside me was a male figure lying next to me. I jumped out of bed, my heart racing frantically and I wanted to wake up from whatever dream this was, staring at the environment, I realized that I was in a strange room that I was not familiar with, I was naked and so was the man who was lying next to me. The world was spinning around me, my head throbbing so hard while I tried to recall how I had ended up here but despite how much effort I made, I could not remember living at home last night, I went straight to bed after having a conversation with my sister, but how was I here right now. Still trying to comprehend what was going on and how to get away from the situation, the door slammed open, and Landon stormed in accompanied by my sister Lyra. But just when I thought that it was just the both of them, the elders of the pack began to storm in, even my parents and they all had this glare on their faces while they stared at me with so much discontent. “What is going on here Zoey?” Landon's voice came through as I rushed and grabbed over to the blanket, trying to cover my naked body. Landon lowered his face, his eyes filled with pain and disappointment, yet all I wanted was for the grounds to open up and swallow me away from this humiliation that I was about to face. “Please Zoey, tell me that this isn't happening. I gave you my all, what else could you want? Was my love not enough for you” he tried to conceal his emotions, but I could feel the pain that was lingering around his heart as I strutted and tried to form some words, yet it all seemed impossible, my head still trying to grasp the situation. “Landon please…..” My voice broke down in tears, I looked at Lyra standing right beside him, she was like the only friend that I had and I was hoping that she was going to speak up for me at that moment, but there was a smirk on her lips like she was enjoying the entire show. “Zoey! How can you bring such disgrace and humiliation to our family, do you know what an honor it was for you to become the Luna and yet you brought yourself so low to the level of a guard, you are so despicable and I hate the day that I gave birth to you!” my father snarled in the most scornful way that I could ever imagine. “Please, I do not know what is going on here or how I got here, I swear on the moon goddess” I cried with pleads in my voice, my heart was in so much pain that it felt like I was choking in it. But all Landon did was scoff sarcastically, no doubt my words meant nothing to him anymore, and even while he did, the pain still hung in his voice. “I promised you the entire world, I was ready to give you my all, why was I not enough for you,” “No, please Landon, I never meant for any of this to happen, I swear. Lyra, please help me talk to him. "I was hoping that even just her would stand by my side at such a critical point, but she lowered her head in disappointment and did not say a word to help ease the situation. Landon took a few steps closer to me, he held a tiny knife which I knew it symbol and then, he began. “I, Alpha Landon, Alpha of the shadow pack and son to the ancestors of the Jaxon tribe, reject you Zoey, daughter to elder Edward of the shadow pack right in front of the elders present here as my mate. I cut every tie that binds us together in this world and the next. Never will I have anything whatsoever to do with you. Now go ahead and accept the rejection” “No… please Landon, you can't do this to me, I beg of you, please….” “It is an order by your Alpha and you will not disrespect me, you broke the bond first” Even while he spoke, I could see the determination in his eyes and I knew that there was no going back. “I, Zoey, accept your rejection” I almost choked on the words as there was an intense surge of pain that took over me, my heart felt like it was been shredded into tiny pieces and my wolf howled in agony, how could we go from being the most envy person in the pack to worthless and rejected. “I hereby banish you Zoey from this pack. If you are ever seen anywhere within the territories of the shadow pack, you will be killed immediately, now you have nothing but thirty minutes to leave this pack and never set foot in it ever again” He ordered most ruthlessly, but just as I was about to speak, he turned around and started walking away with my sister Lyra following behind. My father stared at me one last time in utmost disappointment before he shook his head and scurried away from the room. I definitely knew that this was a setup, but what I could not tell was who could have set me up in such a dreadful manner. The guard that was now on his knee knew that he was going to hang to death for committing such a sin against the Alpha and right there, he was trembling in fear. I knew that I did not have much time and had to find out those responsible for this, so I hurried up with my dress and dashed out of the hotel room. But the news seemed to have spread through the entire pack. Even while I walked back home, everyone was looking at me with disgust in their eyes while some went as far as throwing spit at me, but I ignored them and in tears, I hurried back home. I hurried inside my bedroom and started packing a few of my things that I could lay hands on because I knew that it was only a matter of time before the Alpha’s men came looking for me. But there were suddenly voices moaning deeply from the other room. It was Lyra's room, i knew that she hadn't found her mate and had no boyfriend, so I was so surprised that she was making out with a man. Suddenly, their voices grew more intense and I could recognize the male voice, I would recognize his voice even if I was in a deep sleep because it was the voice of the man who could make me cry and happy at the same time.
