“Sir, Mrs Alford is here to see you.” My secretary informed me.
“Miss Mae.” I corrected her with a death glare. “Send her up.”
“Right away, sir.” Melanie scurried away but not before I called her back.
“Melanie?”
“Anything else, sir?”
“The next time you refer to my wife as Mrs Alford, don't wait for me to remind you to clear out your desk. And best believe I'll make sure you stay blacklisted till the day you die. Is that clear?”
