(A Marriage Proposal)
“Darling, it's not that simple.” Jackson began, “There's a lot of things that need straightening out.”
“Like what? Your second thoughts? The kids that aren't even yours? She's still a part of your life. Your wife, Jackson. What does that make me? Your mistress? I won't let you do that to me.” I shook my head and tore my arm from his hold.
His eyelashes fluttered as his frustration was evident from the crease in between his eyebrows. “Vanessa, please don't talk like that. I love you. I've always loved you. You know that. It's always been you.” He admitted.
“Then make me feel it. Don't make me feel like I'm cheap and filthy. If you love me, close this chapter of your life and begin a fresh one with me. You know where to find me as a free man
