Iceman POV

Now that his glitch has been taken care of, he can focus on finding Sierra’s daughter. The time I spent overseas learning new techniques of torture and dismemberment was to prepare him for my revenge! I also learned ,meditation techniques but sometimes I just needed to kill something when the urge is too much to ignore. I enjoyed the rush I get just before a kill and the peace after the kill. First things first, I needed to get a hold of Chancey to begin the breaking for her psyche. I needed her mind broken before I could manipulate her powers for my own existence.

I pulled up Detective Ryans profile. She had been a detective for a little over a decade, she earned several medals and commendations, yada, yada, yada. I didn’t care about any of that information. I continued to search her profile for anything interesting. I came across a link to a family tree with names and addresses. I clicked on the link but my access was denied. s**t! Now I had to find someone that could grant him access. I needed to disguise myself as a cop due to the only people that could get him what he wants were cops. I needed to gain access to her personnel file so I needed to butter up the one on duty in records.

I stopped by a costume shop and picked up a fake mustache, French beret and some cheap aviation sunglasses. I paid cash then headed to the police headquarters. He parked in visitor parking then donned my disguise. I checked my reflection in the rear-view mirror. My disguise was perfect now all I had to do was fake a French accent.

I entered the building and ran into the first scop I could find. “Pardon moi, I sink zat I may be lost. Could you help moi?”

The cop sized me up before answering. “What can I help you with?”

“Can you point me to ze personnel department?”

“What do you want with personnel?” The cop still wasn’t sure about me.

“A couple of years ago my sister was kidnapped. Officer Ryans found her and brought her home. We lost her address and my sister is about to be married, and she wanted to invite Ryans.” Damn, French is harder to fake than he had realized.

“Head down the hall, take the elevator to the 3rd floor. Personnel is located four doors left of the elevator.” The cop said then went back to what he was doing.

“Merci.” I then followed his directions. The elevator doors opened onto the 3rd floor. The hall was quiet, compared to the lobby. I located the 4th door on the left. When I knocked I was greeted by a very lovely female voice. “Come in, the door is unlocked.”

I opened the door a saw a short petite young woman. She was very attractive. “Bon jour, how is your day going?”

She smiled brightly at me. “Good afternoon to you as well. My day is going extremely well, what can I do for you?”

I leaned in closer to her. “I need a favor, I was wondering if I could get some information on a Detective Sierra Ryans.”

She slowly replaced her grin with a stern smile. “I am afraid that I cannot give any information on employees.”

He was about to plead with her when her office phone rang. “Hello? Okay I will be right down.” She hung up then smiled at me. “I’m sorry to waste your time but if you’ll excuse, I am needed downstairs.” She stood up and headed to the elevator. “Make yourself comfortable, I’ll be back in a few minutes.”

“Mercie.” I waited until the elevator doors closed then I closed the office door. I walked around the computer. I noticed that she was still logged in, she just made my day, whether it was in purpose of accidental. I typed in Sierra’s name then printed everything in er file, including Chancey’s full name and her house address.

I headed down to the lobby once I had everything I needed. I was stopped short at the entrance of the building. Seeing Sierra walk into the building, shocked him and I had to force myself to walk forward. As she walked passed me, I tilted his beret. “Bon jour sherry.”

She smiled back but looked at me kind of confused. I kept walking before she could recognize him. So long Sierra!
