“When do I get to talk to my parents?” Chancey finally asked after a couple of hours of driving. She missed both of her parents deeply. She hadn’t quite understood why her daddy and Unka Mack showed up. She had a couple of bad days, first with daddy being taken away then what happened with her babysitter and now this.
“I will let you know when it is safe to contact them.” O’Grady was on cloud nine the whole drive. I can’t believe that he was able to deceive not only Xavier but Sierra and the rest of the cops as well! What an incredible feeling to have been right under their noses!
